I'm trying to build a lamp/trophy for an annual, season-long golfing competition between me and my friend. I want to use a Buddha shaped beer bottle as the body of the lamp, but don't want to end up in the ER with any of the multitude of injuries I can imagine might result from boring through the glass incorrectly. I want to put a hole in the glass to run the cord through the lamp base. Does anyone have any suggestions on what tools to use, and how do it safely? Thanks.
