Hey same here and I can barley poke it out to 250 and I'm the same age as chasing.  We have have different strengths.  I'm deadly with my wedges and putter. I played with two guys yesterday when were both 10-20 yards longer and even with my approach shots off I was stil getting up and down for par almost every hole where as they were in struggliesville once we got to the green!

I've been known to drive par 4's and three-putt for par, and get on par 5's in two and three put for par.......  different strengths indeed!

I get it, but to be fair, early to mid 20's are the prime for males.  With my two young kids and everything else, it definitely feels like a big drop from my early 20s.

I was in a basketball gym the other day with the kiddos and I was looking up at the 10ft rim thinking, "I used to be able to grab that?!?!"  It was sad. lol

Hi all,

I've had the sticks for about 8 months now but have only got back into them the last few weeks after recovering from a ski injury.  This post has given me the motivation to get one of the speed radars and get back into it.

I've already noticed a small increase in my numbers. Does anyone else see a similar patter to this:

Green: 131

Blue: 127

Red: 119

Driver - no ball: 118

Driver - with ball: 106

I didn't expect such a big drop off from a dry swing to one with a ball. In this test I'm trying to swing my socks off and not worrying about where the ball goes. Does that seem right, or is it a mental thing and I should be able to get that speed higher with a ball?

@BooshenWaa driver when hitting a ball should be a little higher with those numbers. Could be something you have to work on or could be your driver. It might be good to look into overall weight and length

Wrapped up another week - which had the best numbers yet - in the 90's. However, like a dumba*s I didn't bother taking a pic of the numbers. Looks like all of the stress of the move, our puppy's CHD diagnosis, etc, is starting to wane  I'll have my phone with me for the start of next week. FYI, my wife isn't far behind my numbers - could that be a bit of a motivator? 😁

That's tremendous. If I read your posts correctly you've gone from 78 mph to the 90s. Is there hope for all of us old guys?

Okay with the big move done and a lot more settled I have still managed to complete a week full of protocol with kneeling swings. Part way through week 2 now and will do what I can to make up that 2 sessions that were lost in the move.

That being said I have a great area for doing them with the only downside being it's way too hot after the mornings so they need to be done early.

Videos and pictures will be dropping by end of day tomorrow as well.

Yup that's correct, but keep in mind these are speeds for the SuperSpeed sticks. My driver swing speed has increased from the high 70's to low-mid 80's. I'm focused and set a goal of getting my driver SS up to 90. Kinda ho-hum for the young guys on this thread - but pretty big deal for me.

Week 3 day 1 for me today. Did not feel fast. Some days you just feel like The Flash and others you don’t. I’ve been having trouble sleeping lately, which could be part of the problem.

I try to do my sessions in the shade to beat the Texas heat. It was a heat index of 95 degrees at 10am today...

This is a quick sample of some lefty and righty swings from this evening's session. It was incredibly hot out today and waiting for it to cool off before I got to them.

I did this video after I completed the protocol and used the blue stick.

Don't exactly remember the numbers, but left handed swings were 115 range and second right handed swing was 113.

I have both the swing radar and PRGR set up, although I only base my numbers off the swing radar as that's what I started my protocols with. I got the PRGR after and use it as a back up and see how similar they are. Generally they are within 1 mph sometimes a little more, but it is reassuring to see them so close.

Hope you all enjoy and I'll try to do more videos in the coming days with other views.

Week 6 in the books and continue to see the plateau speeds. Not complaining because I am happy with the results.

I golfed a couple times this past week and had my worst driving performance of the year.. not sure I hit one fairway.. distance was good but lots of shots from the rough. coincided with my worse score of the year as well..  Drive for show putt for dough .. if you cant hit the fairway it really adds to the putting woes.

Couple weeks left in stage 2 and looking forward to the next stage. hoping to break the stall and push through.

I've noticed a much higher flight than normal on the golf course from my driver over the last few rounds and I finally got on a launch monitor over the weekend.  It was only a GC2 so I could not get club information, but it confirmed that my launch and spin are up due to my increased spin.

After trading some emails with my fitter and instructor, I scored a G410 LST head to try (currently gaming a G410 Plus head).  The more forward CG of the LST should help lower my spin and launch into a better window with my new speed.  Excited to get it on the course.

Really interesting webinar from SuperSpeed on how new speed impacts club fitting.  Sounds about right based on what has happened with me!

I skipped a session over the weekend because I was playing too much golf and couldn't figure out where to fit in the session. I spent 8 hours in a car today then did the workout. Not bad, but not great. Week 7 is done, though.

I need to spend more time at the range to sort out the faster backswing. I started bad on Friday with the quicker backswing - I was pulling things really bad, so I reverted back to the slower backswing to get some more control and have a better idea what was going to happen. It had a noticeable effect on my distance as most of my decent drives were in the low end of my Arccos smart range. I know the potential is there, just have to figure it out.

Kneeling swings are rough! Just a fyi do recommend the rain gloves for them. Swung good and hard and slipped a bit both grip and knee placement which did not feel good, but all is okay!

Yup and she's pretty diligent about it. I'm actually very surprised but she's continually motivated by increases in her speed.

Here is something we should all be reminded of.  According to the @SuperSpeed Golf peaks/plateaus graph, we most likely will not see any major jumps again until the 4th-6th months of training (if I'm interpreting the graph correctly).  Since most saw a speed jump of 5-12mph after the first protocol, we're in the plateau phase for pretty much all of Level 2.  So let's stay the course, keep swinging fast, and enjoy the process.  That way we can make those gains permanent!  No one ever said this would be easy.  Persistence is key.

Bingo - I have been commenting on the plateau with most of my posts, but not from a point of frustration.  It is just where we are in the process!

Oh I have 100% been frustrated, but that is just because I’m hyper-competitive with myself lol.

Thus why I posted this as a reminder to myself first and foremost.
