Mindthepond
I fancy a putting analyser and on Ebay the above are for sale for abou 20bucks however on the 3bays site they are 200. I know if it's to good to be true, it isn't but wondered if anybody had one if it worth 200 or has anyone bought the cheap one?? GolfSpy MPR 1 Quote Link to comment
Pandaman
I had one of their full swing analysers for a few years and I found it OK, and liked it, I only sold it due to getting a Garmin that connects to my watch. It didn't do putting so I can't give feedback on that aspect unfortunately. Being a 'plug in' that fits in the grip end it could wobble and give erratic readings at times, but I expect that would be less of an issue for putting due to the much less 'aggressive' swing. My thoughts would be for $20 it may well be worth a gamble (how many gimmicky training aids cost way more than that). Quote Link to comment
GolfSpy MPR
I've had one for a while, and I found it pretty interesting. The biggest issue arises if you use any grip that doesn't have an ordinary vent in the top (SuperStroke with the weights, for instance), because it has no way to attach. I've actually cut the stem off mine and just stick it to the top of the putter. As for the information: it'll tell your face and path numbers, along with your angle of attack, length of backstroke/throughstroke, tempo, etc. My favorite feature: when you roll a putt exactly like you want, you can mark it as your favorite. From that point on, every ensuing putt will be scored based on its similarity to that ideal putt. This obviously works best if you're working on your stroke with repeated putts to the same distance. I wouldn't pay $200 for it. I suspect I got mine for around $50, and probably got that amount of value back out of it.
