Mizuno price drop

Recommended Posts

Our Sponsors

Dropped in to Fiddlers Green in Eugene OR today and talked about Mizuno 919 Tours. Salesman said Mizunos have 3 tiers of pricing and today the price just dropped in to tier 2. If I could get fitted, Id pull the trigger.

Might be something to look at if your are considering buting.

Mizuno still says they are on track to release the JPX 919 replacement in late summer/early fall so this makes sense.

Is there going to be some interest for you on the replacement or are you happy with the 919's?

I know I was vaguely interested in the MP 20's, but I'm really happy with my MP 18 SC's so it'll take a couple more years to get these out of the bag.

No interest at all. Nothing else I could want in an iron and my fitting showed me that.

I still have my MP15's and was looking at the 20's  and when I compared it was a few yards and the feel was similar.  Hard for Mizuno to make the feel better, I think they are the best feel of any I have hit.

I was down to Mizunos and Pings when getting my last set of clubs, and even though I got the Pings I really liked the Mizunos.

With everything that has happened...most golfers will find good prices to get the rest of stock.

As soon as Oregon allows Fiddlers Green to open, Im headed back down for for a fitting. I hit the  whole line  at the PDX golf show and fell in love with the 919 Tours.

I imagine the next JPX line will be out sometime in the next few months, so it's about time for them to start clearing out room for the new models.  Pretty soon the MP-20s might drop a little bit, too.

Was just curious. I need to upgrade my 20 year old Calloway starter set (love my x-14s) but don’t have a huge budget. Does anyone know if when the new clubs are released there would be a big drop in price on the 900/919 forged?  Got a set of MP-32s from some family but I don’t think I can hit those well yet (just getting back into playing consistently after playing maybe twice a year for the last 5-10 years). The forged seem like perfect steps in between the two.

Pissed I just missed out on an eBay sale where a mixed tour (7-p) and forged (4-6) went  for just over $150.

I have an old set of X-14’s that I abandoned for Mizuno’s about 8-9 yrs ago. (JPX 825’s) The X-14’s are like some cult classic. I’d hang onto them if I were you.

Huh I’ve heard the same about the MP-32s but hadn’t heard about the x-14s the same way but that’s good to know. Wasn’t planning on getting rid of either. Love the x-14s and played them well, but I think they’ve done their job now. Felt like the JPX line should be the next step up, but maybe I’ll work my way into the Mp-32 set using the 6 iron up from the x-14 set.

I love my Mizuno JPX 919 Tours! I have told them when I visited that the only thing that could make me switch would be an equally good or better iron that comes in a black finish. They said that there is something coming that is definitely different for Mizuno with this upcoming release!

I have an old set of MP-32's that are potentially the best blade they've ever made. I love to take them out every now and then!

Yeah that’s what I’ve heard. I just don’t know if I should be playing them right now. I’m a ok to good ball striker (usually hit the center of the club, issue is more fat/thin most of the time) but if nothing else I’ll use them to learn  how to really strike the ball with.  But like I said the JPX line seems exactly where I need to be in terms of skill level. I finally got back into playing consistently the last month or so, after playing sparsely, so maybe if I keep it up this summer by the end I’ll be good enough to play Them somewhat consistently.

Does that mean it’s possible preorders will be taken mid August?

The reason I’m asking, I have a $700 credit that I need to use by 8/21. If I saw what the new iron line looked like, I’d get the new Mizuno, and just base the fitting off their specs as compared to their ‘19 line.
