Good Gosh, 36x30, I am done for also! I would never break 100, for the past 10 years, every now and then, close. Then, took four lessons 3 years ago, then 3 more last Spring, and I am going to do 3 more this Spring. Last year I broke into the 80s 3 times, first times ever. My point being, even a super casual golfer, a lesson or two will work wonders, especially seeing your swing on video!!!

Wow, that's great progress. Congrats!

I would need to suddenly get a whole lot taller, wider is not a problem!!

I just want to strike the ball well, and be consistant. those are my goals, not scores.

Good goals. I would like to hit the second good shot in a hole. Great drive and then make the approach. Too many good drives and topped second for 15 yards. Overall score would follow, I am sure.

Agreed. Small goals are good. All you can do is hit one shot at a time, so if you want to be all zen about it, that's really the only goal - one good shot.

I like that. Only the current shot matters. Except when you are trying to set up for an easier approach next, but you have to hit this shot first, then the next shot will be better, so hit this one well...

My ball often gets very upset if we only explore the rough on one side of the fairway..

AH... Army golf... Off topic, but do you guys talk to your balls right out of the sleeve? I do. I can't let the other balls tell them stories first...

My Sq tour has a nice one, but often times an additional "shoe bag" is required.

A short memory is a fantastic asset, and I very hard thing to develop. Bob Rotella tells a story about how Jack Nicklaus said, "I never missed a 4 footer with the tournament on the line" despite the fact that he had. Even if you have, what's the sense in thinking about it?

I've found the wrench pocket of my Nike Str8-Fit driver makes a wonderful storage compartment for those little bottles of Jack. If I tally up my front nine and the total doesn't start with a '3' or a '4' then Mr. Daniels is my caddy for the back nine.

That's a good way to guarantee that the second nine won't start with a 3 or 4 either!

Ah, but then it just won't matter quite as much...

Right! Besides, as my Dad says, just a little lubrication for the swing.

It's great to see so many people who play golf for fun, love the sport, and know how to relax on the course. A couple of my friends get so frustrated, and I have to always remind them "Hey, you could be at work right now instead!"

I'll admit that I am one who this has been told to before. I try to tell myself now. Although I am thinking that Nic's throwing clubs therapy may be more effective...

I have actually gotten to the point where I laugh at myself. Our regular foursome though, we always root against who ever is shooting. Like one tees off, after he hits it, everyone is yelling.."Get in Water, Get in the Water!!!"

that sounds like my league, well most of the guys... I will sometime get paired with people that are WAY better than I am, and the first few times I was nervous, but after a couple rounds its fun because NO ONE gets away with a bad shot... As bad as I am, I can still rip other people apart when they shank one, and it makes the game a lot more relaxing...
