BADFanBoi Scotty
1) I'd like to see the market leader (Titleist) ball lab results released first. Especially when everyone could argue have the best QA. 2) Follow up ball lab: What method best aligns a (misshapen) ball. The Epsom salts (Get my boy Bryson onto it), the Check- Go ball spinning machine, balancing arm/ ramp. 3) I'd love to ask Bridgestone or Srixon (Those that Tony is cursing trying to find the seam) for a box of ball where the seam is more visible and do a 2019 ball test. See thw difference there. BrownBearGolf
Mygolfspy changed how golf equipment would be assessed and reviewed. Uber changed the taxi industry. Redbox changed the home entertainment rental industry. I just don’t see Kirkland golf taking over or even making a small dent. I saw the Rick Shiels video of him receiving it and unboxing. 50% of the putter looks great. Problem is the other 50% of the putter is the Kirkland Logo. The branding is just too big and without prestige. While it may perform adequately or even remarkably it just doesn’t look the part. We know how fickle golfers can be. aerospace_ray 1 Quote Epic Flash Sub Zero 9degree. Hosel set to -1degree/Nuetral. Aftermarket 10gram front weight and 6.5 gram sliding weight set to fade. BrownBearGolf
Maybe if the logo said only KS1 that would have been a bit more compelling. aerospace_ray 1 Quote Epic Flash Sub Zero 9degree. aerospace_ray
I saw the Rick Shields video in which he tested it. Probably a very good putter/option for the pricing. He said it was a good putter. Good not great. Costco/Kirkland is going to have to produce golf balls and equipment that are disruptive in technology along with price "to take over golf". 1st Costco/Kirkland ball may have teased everyone but for whatever reasons it was not sustainable. This putter is maybe very good for the price point but to get people(in this case more golfers) to buy memberships Costco/Kirkland is going to have golf products that disrupt the golf industry with both technology and pricing IMO. And for the record I hope they succeed figuring out how to get the best technology in golf equipment at great lower pricing points. Would love a future Costco/Kirkland driver that won MGS #1 driver in total accuracy/distance/strokes gained and it looked good at 149.00 or less .. In order to be “disrupters” they need the technology and price point and overall performance to make those whom don’t have Costco memberships get one. It’s a tall task. Margins are so thin on equipment. How could they do it unless they actually made it themselves. Nike couldn’t do it. aerospace_ray 1 Quote Epic Flash Sub Zero 9degree. Hosel set to -1degree/Nuetral. connerp93
Only problem is you can't test the Cosco putter before you buy, it comes sealed in the box and there's no demo on the floor. Shame, because i'd like to give one a couple rolls.
