Chef Eric
I would recommend The Tribute, Grapevine, Thorntree and Texas Rangers Golf Club. If you are looking for an old school track, Cedar Crest is in great shape.
TR1PTIK
Add Hawks Creek to that list. Played for the first time two weeks ago and had a blast. Walking only and no flagsticks currently due to Covid-19. Playing Tierra Verde for the first time this Friday (new to the area). I've heard a lot of great things, but it's supposed to be pretty windy and possibly rain. I have played those also, I like the Rangers redesign of Ditto course other than 17th and 18th, its a different look and feel. Tribute is much better since they redid their greens, Thorntree is not bad , Cedar Crest is the first course I played when I move here.. its always in great shape for the amount of play. Running out of courses to play , that are not private.. Gonna have to make a trip, Walking only works just fine. Thanks. Tierra Verde was the Jeweled of Arlington area (now is the Rangers Club), illusion of target golf but has wide enough fairways. I like this tracked play it at least 2 a year. They love their prices so , only jump on it when they have deals, which i usually once or 2 twice a year. Worth out toward White Settlement. $40 walking when I went. It's not overly difficult, but still offers plenty of challenge and loads of charm IMO. I live in Grand Prairie so it's a bit of a drive in normal traffic, but with COVID limiting the number of people on the roads and an early morning tee time I was able to get there in just over 30 minutes. Had a blast at TV this past Friday despite windy conditions. My tee game was on for the most part - only struggled on two drives (one because of poor club choice and the other because I just hit a bad shot. Scoring was still high because of the wind, but I'm eager to go back and see how much better I can do.
