Fresh wedges in the morning!

Recommended Posts

Nothing like the smell!! My current wedges were 54 and 58. Didn't really match up to my PTM irons which have the GW at 48. My wedges were almost two years old and though they still seemed great it was a good reason to reload. I went with 52 and 56. Ive never really used a lob wedge so a 56 is fine for me.

I had been gaming both wedges in the Mid size sole but went with the Tour in the 52. The Tour sole is .900 which is closer to the PTMs as well. It will be a more natural progression.

Its certainly nice to upgrade for $33 a wedge. 20200512_081152.jpg20200512_081425.jpg

I've got my eye on the TSWs that just came out. I'm heavily considering just going to the 56° and calling it a day for my wedge lineup.

While playing quite a few walking rounds due to COVID-19 I had to shed weight so I took out the 52° and 60° and had really good, consistent results. My current gap is 51° so the gapping still works.

I think I'll do a build as well and pull the TT DG Spinner from one of my wedges

the more I practice, the luckier I seem to get..

@azstu324 Going to a single wedge can have some distinct advantages. In a very short amount of time you have come across all conditions that you're going to meet, and how you played it. So when you reach into the bag your mind already knows exactly what it needs to do. Eliminating those multiple choices can really help some players.

Well, played 9 holes and I have to say I'm shocked at how quickly my chips stopped today. You really just don't notice after a year or so how much the wedges degrade.
Sure its pretty well known how much a fresh wedge will spin. But still surprised me at the drastic change.
