The ventus is a great shaft. One nice thing is that the flex stays consistent between weights. Meaning, a 6x is not equivalent to a 7s. The flex of a 6s and 7s is the same the difference being the weight. 
 

so I would say if you are typically stiff flex player stay with that and find some place to try both. The weight difference can help with tempo while being in the correct flex category.
