Ok went to the neurosurgeon yesterday. They did get medical transport for me since it was 80 miles one way. Ended up knew the guy who transported me. Anyhow the neurosurgeon wants another MRI because I am getting shooting burning pains down my right side. Tuesday back up there to go to the trauma doc who first saw me ( shrug). Wed it is the orthopedic doc for my shoulder which is local. I was cleared to drive my car short distances as long as I am not on pain killers or muscle relaxers.

So this Am I took advantage of my personal freedom and went to my course. They have lifted some Covid 19 restrictions and I was able to sit on the patio and enjoy my coffee and cigar. I did roll a couple of putts with my Bobby Grace Mark 5. Shoulder hurt so I did quit after about 4 putts. It was a nice day so I filled my car with gas and took a little ride up the beach with the windows open and the sunroof open blasting that Boise Stereo with old beach music. Went home about 11:00 was hurting some took 2 muscle relaxers and nodded off in my chair with the heat and massage going just woke up

All in all a pretty good day

Injured it healthy, that sounds like a mighty fine day to me!

Continue to heal up buddy

Man you guys are keeping me going. Thanks-- Ok went to the neurosurgeon and he has ordered up a MRI for this Wednesday. Went to the shoulder Doc which is local. He turned out to be pretty cool. Asked about my regular Doc when he saw it listed. Told him we were golf buds. Come to find out he plays too. He has also ordered up a MRI too. Told me it was definite my shoulder would have to have PT rehab. Asked him if he could stretch it some where I could get a few yards off the tee. He laughed and said we will see.

Today was ok too-- Climbed in my perch at church to run the sound board--- We did the first service inside since the Covid thing. Now I will note we did stick to guide lines etc in the sanctuary etc. My note board still had the bulletin from March 15 which was the last time we had services in the building. Service went off without a hitch.

Also built me another broomstick putter Saturday just in case I get problems down the line bending over putting. Forgot me and the missus went to my local pancake house for breakfast yesterday since they just opened back up. The owners have been friends of mine for 25 years. They had hired some new help and they introduced us to them. I was introduced as the Official Mayor of the Garden City Pancake house. Ate darn good too two orders of chipped beef on toast and his special home fries

It's on 17 business in Garden City. Been there for like 35 years now. The current owner her Mom and Pop started it way back when. Her Pop died some time back and her Mom just passed last year. But her and her husband have ran it the last 25 years or so. Great Folks

Wow - prayers for healing my friend.  I just put you in our prayers for this weekend here also!  Slow and steady wins the race here, just like your backswing.

Thanks Rev prayer has helped---- Funny thing is I have 8 different Reverends and congregations praying for me---- Make that 9 one of my buds from the Episcopal church just finished Seminary and was Ordained last Saturday. I got on Facebook for the first time the other week on the Persimmon Golf Society and somehow folks find out you are on Facebook. I only friend folks I know an what is funny 7 of them are pastors. Someone asked me about that in a PM the other night. 5 of them I have ran sound where they have been Pastor at and one actually drove trucks with me and one of course is my current pastor. Figured you would get a kick out of that

ROTFLMAO--- I have a buddy of mine here I used to work with. He is from that section of Kentucky that borders around Pennsylvania. He self describes himself as a "Penciltuckian"  Good example--------  Everyone says the Gulf Stream he says "golf stream". But I promise you between us we could do some redneck engineering to keep a concrete plant pumping out 2000 yards of concrete a day.

Penciltucky Dutch (as I heard it referred to growing up) is pretty unique.  I hail from the western part of Kentucky and I don't have the same hill folk accent.  But I do still stump my coworkers after 9 years when I let fly with "hunnert" instead of hundred.

I am sorta a mix and can be a puzzle to some. I was born and raised in the Piedmont area of NC--- My old man and step Mom were from Eastern NC all entirely different in dialect and I may add BBQ too. I am sorta a mix between both and add SC in the mix. I have lived in SC for almost 40 years now.

@BIG STU  you know, I should drive down to the beach now and play golf with you because this will be the only time I will ever have a chance at being competitive...but somehow some way I think you still would manage to whip my tail with just a putter.  Keep working hard and healing up big fella!

OK Folks update 7-15-20
Been doing my PT on shoulder. It is progressing fine. I have 8 more sessions I think it is. Went to the neurologist on my back yesterday. He told me to ditch the brace some and has given me the green light to start PT and says I can start hitting some light wedge shots. The PT he subscribed has to do with core strength so you guys know more distance. Have a shoulder PT this afternoon and one tomorrow. The good thing is the PT place is darn near in my back yard and i can leave there and drive about a mile to the course. I will  be at the course first light to try and see how it works out. For now I am just flopping shots with the 56 and 60 only going back to around to 9:00 and finishing at 3:00. Depending on therapy it will be at least 6 weeks before full bore again

Good to hear you are on the road to recovery buddy!

Update 7-30-20    Finished up with shoulder therapy last Friday got pretty much a green light there. The Ortho doc released me on that yesterday. Also the therapist did the evaluation on my back yesterday morning and had a conference with my Neurologist. I trust her completely she helped get my shoulder going. Come to find out her husband used to be a assistant at my old course and I know him well. Me and him have been partners on several teams over the years. Even though she really does not play golf she has extensive knowledge of the golf swing having been married to a pro and she is a experienced therapist. But I have been warned that the back will be a long road and I absolutely can not go at it like I can the shoulder. Most of the shoulder exercises she had me doing I was doing anyhow before being hurt to try to get my shoulders turning a little faster. I have my first back session tomorrow afternoon
