tony@CIC
Last year I was fit for D-7's but didn't get them because my wife's new clubs were a higher priority. Thinking about getting them this year and asked my fitter. He suggested I try the 919 Hot Metals as a comparison to the D-7's. He mentioned they were only $13./club more than the D-7's. I'm tempted to go back for just an iron fitting. I love the look of the Mizunos - almost too pretty to hit. 1 Quote Left Hand orientation SIM 2 D Max with Fujikura Air Speeder Shaft Cobra Radspeed 3W/RIptide Shaft 410 Hybrids 22*, 26* Cobra Speed Zone 6-GP/Recoil ESX 460 F3 Shafts SM7 54* Wedge Glide 3.0 60* Wedge O Works putter V3 NX9-HD - 4 Wheel EZGO TXT 48v cart - too many shoes to list and so many to buy And BAG Boy Golf Balls: Vice Pro Plus 2020 Official Tester Beginning Driver Speed - 78 2019 Official Tester 410 Driver 2018 Official Tester C300

I’m hoping to get a real steal on EBay at some point for the forged. Have old x-14s that im probably too good for now, and just got mp-32s that I haven’t hit yet, that I got super cheap from a family member, but I really don’t think I’m good enough for those yet. I’m really annoyed though, I missed out on a split set of forged(4-6)/tour(7-9) 900s that went for $165 on eBay. Hope I can find something in the 150-250 range in the 900 or 919s when the new JPXs come out. Edited June 11, 2020 by Duffman57
Golfspy_CG2
900 deals should be pretty easy to find. I sold a my 919 Forged right before the COVID for $650, but that was before any price reduction and they were in mint shape, probably less than 10 rounds on them. 1 Quote TSR2 10.0 HZRDUS Red CB 6.0 TSiR2 10.0 Tensei Blue X ink 55g TSR2 16.5 PX Evenflow 5.5 60 g TSi1 20 and 23 degree hybrids Aldila Ascent Shafts R T200 5-GW SteelFiber I80 SM8 48F/54/58 D Grinds Select 5.5 Flowback 35" ProV1X Play number

Yeah, They're going for right around 300-350 on ebay right now, hoping with the new release and if I monitor ebay enough, I'll be able to find a good deal. I know the 32's are a pretty well known club, so maybe they'll be more forgiving than I expect I'm just getting to playing weekly after only playing a couple times a year for the last 5-10, so I'm no expect but my irons have been the best part of my game by far.

Good luck with your search. Sometimes the hunt is as fun as the actual pulling of the trigger on deals for clubs. I know I've been known to go down several rabbit holes looking for a deal on a particular set. As for the MP32, I can't speak to their forgiveness, but all I can tell you is @MDGolfHacker regrets the day he sold his several years ago, more than any other day that he can recall. He's been searching for the perfect iron since then. Perhaps he can give you some of his thoughts on the play ability of them. 1 Quote TSR2 10.0 HZRDUS Red CB 6.0 TSiR2 10.0 Tensei Blue X ink 55g TSR2 16.5 PX Evenflow 5.5 60 g TSi1 20 and 23 degree hybrids Aldila Ascent Shafts R T200 5-GW SteelFiber I80 SM8 48F/54/58 D Grinds Select 5.5 Flowback 35" ProV1X Play number

Yep, It's almost sad how much I obsessed over it for the last week or two, still pissed I pulled the trigger on the MP-32's and missed out on the 900 tour/Forged deal. I think the Forged are going to be exactly what I wanted out of the clubs. If nothing else I'll use the MP-32's to learn how to really strike irons. I'm very much a feel player, and I remember hitting my dads old MP-60s and I absolutely LOVED the feeling of them (the club weight was perfect, I dislike lighter irons, and want something heavier at the end, which is part of the reason I want to upgrade). So maybe the feel of the clubs will help me out on the ball striking front. We'll see when I actually get the clubs haha.

Gman24
Mizuno T20: I am really enjoying my MP20s, so I met with my Mizuno fitter (Mulligans in Richmond VA) and we fit me for 3 T20s Satin finish. Jay (the fitter) took ample time to let me hit multiple wedge configurations using a lie board and fitting tape while hitting outdoors. We went with S Grind 50/07, M Grind 54/12 and C Grind 59/09 to create diversity in the grinds. I have a shop, so I can tweak the 54's grind a little if needed, but we did our best to fit based on the prevalent conditions in my home area. I was carrying a 52/56/60 set gapping, so it will be interesting how these work. I am hitting my MP20s with DG X100s, so we matched them up with DG S400 for shaft weight to help keep the swing weight reasonable (all my clubs are plus 3/4"). I will post a "review" when I get them and put them in play. Brookers
Up until this year I played MP-5's (P-7) W/ JPX EZ 5 and 6 irons. I noticed I wasn't getting the distance nor the shot shaping I wanted, just getting old :(... I spent three and one half hours at the PGA store in Schaumburg, IL (prior to Covid) and went through all of the currently available irons, knowing sadly, I needed to go to cavity back set. After I tried the Mizuno JPX 919 HM's (third set I had tried) I knew they were the clubs to beat! Only the AP3's had anywhere near the feel of the Mizuno's and definitely not as good. I was seriously impressed that a forgiving iron still gave me the feedback that I had hit the shot I wanted or slightly mis-hit it, absolutely awesome! I loved the irons so much I went with Mizuno JPX 919 Forged for my wedges, great set. 1 Quote Driver - PXG Proto Driver 10.5Deg ProjectX Hazardous Smoke 6.0 3 Wood - Mixuno ST-190 (Miyazaki Kaula Stiff) 4 Hybrid - Sub 70 939X ProjectX Hazardous Smoke 6.0 6-PW - Mizuno JPX-919 HM / Nipon NS Pro Reg 52/56/60- PXG 0311 Forged / Nipon NS Pro Stiff Heavy Putter Tour A1
