I'm a big fan of GP grips but the Align didn't do anything for me. I prefer the MCC+4

Are they much thicker though

The +4 I refers to a non tapered fit so yes you'd feel it to be thicker as you choke down on the club. However, keep in mind that they come in different sizes (diameters).
