Kaplack
If Myspy tests say my Super Colorful favorite Matte Finish golf balls are hurting my score? I am depressed! What is more important to me having balls that colorful match my pants, shoes or shirt. Or a lower score What is more important to the rest of you? tony@CIC 1 Quote WITB: Driver: Taylormade SLDR Fujikura XLR8 61 S RH. 3 Wood: TaylorMade RBZ 3W Hybrid: Ping G400 3 Hyb 19 degree S Irons: Titleist 710 AP1 5-PW Aerotek Steelfiber i110 cw S RH standard lie Wedges: 50 Callaway MD 4, 54 Vokey SM5, 58 Callaway Forged Putters: Ping Grayhawk Putter

Popeye64
Lower score or why play. I have seen the Matte balls roll out on a green far less that a standard covered ball. Realized that on the Pinehurst practice green Thisledew. It was the only ball that could be stopped on quite a few holes. Tom the Golf Nut
Those balls just hurt my eyes! Do you know why the PGA Superstore has piles of them up front by the check out counters? Josh Ross
For me, golf is tricky enough and I don't want to make things any harder than they need to be. However, if you aren't seeing quantifiable differences in your game then keep playing what makes you happy. In the end, if you're not enjoying yourself on the course then why play? That being said, I don't care for the colorful balls so I'll continue on with my plain white ones. Agreed all those matte finishes hurt my eyes real bad. Also lower score should always be the goal. Pandaman
Lower scores for me too. Matt finishes just never appealed to me personally anyway. But ultimately most of us play for fun, so enjoyment is key, if a given finish/colour combo is more enjoyable for you, or just helps you see your ball easier then go with it. ZenGolfer
Ive played some of the matte Maxfli balls lately and honestly, I dont think it really matters. Just like most other things, I think its just another gimmick. Matte golf balls, gloss golf balls, bright colored golf balls; I dont think it really matters. zkilo
I personally use red matte finish balls for autumn golf here in wisconsin.I don't believe most amateur golfers are concerned that their balls go further, rather most of us are concerned with the cost of golf. I course I know a lot of name droppers that that use X brand. A yard or 5, meh.
IceHawk
They're hurting your score because they apparently don't perform as well in wet conditions? Do some testing of your own and find a ball that works for you and your game.
Chizzle
I just try to get better which usually results in better scores. I try to be consistent with balls I use. I also dont like the feel of those balls.
Martinjfs
It seems as though wet performance is the biggest issue. 11Scooby71
If it’s dry they play well. They hold surface water which cause face skidding and green planing on landing. They are like glue on wet greens. They get dirty. Really dirty. and they hold sand. otherwise the Tour series are really good. Really. Experience.
