I have been listening to the "Get a Grip with Max Homa and Shane Bacon" podcast and there was a comment they made about Adam Scott being the first to stop wearing the white belt in golf.

Did I miss something? I have yet to own a white belt, but it certainly seems to be ever popular and goes well (seemingly) with a lot of outfits. What is your take?

I’ve got one and wear it occasionally. It should definitely be in your rotation.

I wear one all the time. I like the way it looks with some shorts & shirt combos and that's all that matters.

Cue the fashion police! Lol

I have one that I wear quite often. I gauge my golf attire by my wife's reaction. If I walk out and she says I look like an idiot, I know I'm set for the day!

Nope. No white belt. I will give leeway in ONE instance: solid white pants/shorts. That’s it.

I have heard this many times and I just don’t abide by it. My wife loves the white belt. Wait a sec...

Isn’t he the fashion guy for golf digest? His outfits are way out of touch with a price point for most anyone. Also, I lost some respect for him when he said that you can wear a long sleeve under shirt under a short sleeve polo. I think that it’s a pretty athletic look and, as long as it matches, very stylish. I’d rather go out in that than a $300 merino wool sweater.

Wait you expect me to take fashion advice from a guy with TWO popped collars?

Yeah that's a big NO from me, dawg.

I wear my collar up for a functional reason (minimize skin exposure aka skin cancer). Does that mean I HAVE to wear a white belt 😁

Haha I was going to say the same thing! I refuse to take advice about a white belt from a "Chad".

I have one, but have not wore it much in the past 5 years or so.  I'm with @PMookie about the solid white shorts (Hardly wear white shorts etiher). Maybe if I'm wearing lighter color shorts with a white shirt and white golf shoes, I think it would look good.  I don't mind them, but I feel like I don't see as many guys' wearing them.  To each his own though, if you feel like it looks good, who am I to say anything?   Just don't dress like Rickie Fowler circa 2010 or Ian Poulter circa anytime and I won't make fun of anyone.

White belts, and white pants, are great, work for a lot of different outfits, and a kind of uniform unique to golf.  But, they up the first tee pressure...if you're announcing to the world that you're a golfer, you better have some game to back it up!
