prussell24
So I needed a new bag and ended up going with the hoofer lite because it was just way better then everything else. But now my all Titleist setup is giving my OCD issues. What budget friendly ping irons would you go for? braincramp
Any G series from G2 are good. If you want something a little less chunky find yourself a nice old set of I5's. Granata13
The good thing about Ping irons is they last a long time, you can also send them back to ping to have them bent to your specs for about $30 a set. It all depends on your handicap, the i(5, 10, 15, 20, e1, 200, 210) are all very good and easy to hit. If you want more blade like I highly recommend the S56 or S55. If you want a driver as well, my favorites have been the original Rapture with ProLaunch Red, G20, G30LST and I am still playing the G400LST. The Ping Tour shaft is also really solid stock option. heavygolffeels
S55's are a fantastic iron. Bubba Watson still plays them. aerospace_ray
Concur with comments previously posted. What Titleist iron model do you play? You could reach out to a golf shop, company, etc and find the Ping set model that most closely matches your Titleist model specs. There are probably a lot of people in the MGS community that can break down the pros/cons of your existing clubs to Ping models. Good luck. Hook DeLoft
I’ve had a lot of different Ping irons. My favorites were the i15 irons. If you take big divots, look at one of the different G series. prussell24
I actually just did a refurbish job on a set of Titleist 735 cm irons and I am currently playing those. Before that I had a mix set of Titleist 718 3-6cb 7-pw mb. prussell24
Thanks everyone for your replies. I think I'm going to keep on the lookout for either a set of s56 or split set of i200/iblade. I also think I am going to have to look into trading my 917 for a g400. Has anyone tried the ping forged wedges? They also look pretty nice, I'm wondering how they would feel compared to my vokeys.
