Popular Post cciciora13
I just really wanted to post this because I cannot say enough good things about Sub 70 golf. I have been looking at new irons for a few months now. I was originally leaning towards Wilson staff, but am so glad I found this company through mygolfspy. In March, I ordered the demo set of the 699 irons right before the coronavirus happened in March---now you are only supposed to be able to keep them for 2 weeks but they said I can keep them as long as I want to truly get a chance to put them to the test. I then ordered the 699 pro demo irons about a month ago to compare to the 699 irons. I have contacted Jason (CEO of Sub70) and Mike (sales) countless times throughout the process to go over specs, shafts, my game and what I am looking for in my irons. He has been more than helpful and truly takes the time to assist each customer. He really cares for the customer and loves golf. Well fast forward to today. I contacted Jason to order my 699 irons and wanted to go over shafts and my concern about not for sure getting the lie angle correct (I have never been fit). He gives me his recommendation for iron shafts based on my game (the KBS tour stiff) and then suggests once I get them to hit them, we can talk about my misses, what is going on, and then I can come to the facility to dial in the lie angle on the simulator and lie board (I live within driving distance). I was also looking at buying a 939x #3 hybrid and he suggested a shaft that was not on their list on their website, so he contacted his sales department to get it all set up for me. Jason then gave me a price for the irons and hybrid and ensured that Shane from their sales department will contact me tomorrow to confirm my order and payment information. MIND YOU, HE DID ALL OF THIS FOR ME WHILE ON A ROAD TRIP TO NEBRASKA!! I can't believe the customer service I have received from this company. They truly care about their customer and want the clubs to be exactly what fits the golfer to their exact specifications. It made me feel like a tour pro even though I carry a 12 handicap. Everyone at Sub70 golf is so helpful, (From Jason and Jay, to Mike and Shane and everyone in-between). If you are looking for new clubs, I highly suggest Sub70 golf. They truly have the best customer service in golf, their irons and clubs are top notch and their prices are great too!! Wondergiulio
I totally agree with you and had the same high level customer experience with them. I ordered a 699 pro to try and it is a hell of an iron. After long conversations with Jason, i decided to pull the trigger on a 639 CB tho even without trying them!!! I trust so much this brand that i would order blindly from them and i will gladly soon have a full Sub70 bag. My decision was because i prefer a forged iron even if the 699 felt so smooth at contact... Just very similar to my actual PXG 0211 so i took that forged direction. Shaft selection was studied together but Jason still wants me to hit one club before building my full set so too have it perfect on every aspect.. What a good guy he is. Cant wait to receive my final test iron and have all them in my bag!!!! heavygolffeels
Well, continuing to hear nothing but good things about sub 70. Really important to have service like this. I'm really happy with my current iron set but am looking for a fun backup set to play and to have ready for guests. I have alot of friends and family out of town. Anyway, always been attracted to the smaller companies, yet that still make high level products. That has been Srixon / Bridgestone type companies in the past. But with this next set I am definitely looking at somebody smaller like sub 70, new level, maltby. I'm sure I am not the only one, so getting the good word out is great for the companies. And companies, keep the word good like Sub 70 is currently doing. cciciora13, GolfSub70, MattF and 1 other 4 Quote GARSEN GRIP TESTER Driver: PING G400 MAX, Ventus Blue 6x Woods: COBRA F6 Baffler AD DI 8S Hybrid: CALLAWAY Apex Pro, Ventus Blue 8s Irons: SRIXON ZX5 mk2 5-6, ZX7 mk2 7-PW, Modus 120x Wedges: EDEL 50 C grind, 54 V grind, CLEVELAND 60 RTX6 Low Putter: YES Abbie! Bossfan
Jason is definitely great. I have some health issues that make me probably more difficult than most to fit. I’ve been to their facility twice once for a fitting and then for an adjustment. He spent close to an hour with me each time and didn’t rush me at all. Bossfan
I took a few swings with the 3w ( and several of their other clubs):in their fitting room last time I went in for an adjustment. It was maybe 10 swings but it felt really nice and the ball felt like it jumped off the club face. I’m not looking for am3w right now but if I was I would definitely consider it if I was. I’d just use their demo program and try one. awcarlisle01
I really want to give graphite a chance in my irons. After reading this topic and the podcast I convinced myself Sub70 is the best group to work with on this experiment. Since I am a lefty I order the 699s with Aerotech I70 Stiff flex since I currently play TT AMT Black Regular flex shafts. Also I am at an odd swing speed in my life right now where I am at the borderline of a stiff or regular flex shaft. Since I’m in Alabama and like to walk during the hottest time of the year regular flex steel shafts I feel get me over the hump on 14 - 18. Especially if I decide to play an E9. Therefore I think going with a lighter weight shaft with with a stiff profile is the best approach to get the additional performance I am hoping for with graphite. Any feedback or opinions to my line of thinking would be appreciated. cciciora13 and GolfSub70

From a flex perspective without knowing your swing we can tell you anything since flex looks at more than swing speed. From a weight perspective, if you feel like you would be getting tired/overheated toward the later part of your round lighter weight sounds like a good option. I did the "get custom fit" feature they had on their website. I put in my height and wrist to floor numbers and it gave me a lie angle of +1. When I did a fitting last year I remember my lie angle was flat. Also wanted a graphite shaft this time around so I ordered the Project X 5.5 Graphite. Jtom2012
I 100% agree with all the good things being said about Sub70. Their customer service goes above and beyond and I cant say enough good things about Jason. This past winter I had placed an order for some wedges and a set of 699's and as I was sitting in my office I received a text message from Jason asking what style/color of hat I would like to be included. He also went on to say if I ever needed anything to contact him. This made me feel like he truly cared about my business and like someone said in the post above it made me feel like a tour pro! I know MGS rated as best value in their testing but wanted to see if anyone has any other opinions on them Hi! I received my new 5 wood fairway pro from Sub70. Fantastic club... it goes as far as my Mavrik 3 wood and launch very easy. I paired it with the UST mamiya V2 Black. Sound is mute, look is really nice with a stealth mode Black Not familiar with the Srixon, but I have heard good things of it as well Nolan220, MattF and cciciora13 3 Quote G400 9.0 Alta CB 55g stiff G400 3W Alta CB 65g stiff Fairway Pro 5W Ust Mamiya V2 black stiff 839X 4h Kbs TGI80 639cb 5-PW Kbs TGI80 Forged Wedge 50.7 Kbs TGI80 MD4 56.8, 60.12 PXG Bat Attack MTB-X
