Is there a better golf shirt brand than Peter Millar? Every time I go play a new course or go on a trip, the first thing I look for in the pro shop is the Peter Millar Section. I've tried to play in Travis Matthew and Nike, but it's just not as comfortable as Peter Millar in my opinion. What's your go to brand whenever you're looking to pick up a new golf polo?

Saw the Post and was going to come here and say the same thing. Those "tour fit" Peter Millar shirts fit amazing. Well worth the money.

It's a Ping shirt, no idea who made it for them, but fits me snug in the places I like it snug & loose in the places I like it loose and the sleeves are the perfect length.

Guys!! @aerospace_ray turned me on to John Morgan shirts and they are the real deal! As good as Peter Millar for half the price (or less, on sale!)

They are long cut so they will stay tucked in during swings and active movements, soft enough (mostly cotton) to not want to take them off as soon as your round is done, performance oriented enough to meet the needs on the golf course or warm summer days, stylish enough to wear anywhere.

I've become a huge fan and have already started stocking my closet with them.

Ever use a golf shirt for anything besides work? Hitting a bar or anything?

In general, I like to wear the polyester shirts for playing golf and cotton "golf" shirts for everyday wear.  However, sometimes when we travel and are walking a lot in fairly hot weather, I wear polyester golf shirts because they are good at absorbing sweat and look good even when walking a lot in hotter weather.

I loved GMAC before they disappeared. The fit was amazing and the fabric the right amount of stretch and moisture wicking. I enjoy Bonobos right now, but they’re not as perfect. Great golf pants as well, Bonobos.

I love a good sleeveless polo shirt -weather permitting of course!

I've recently started buying my golf apparel from Island Green Golf - I love their women's range! My favourite is their navy one with the white details and white collar!

Anyone else know/use this brand? Any men use it as I'm looking at getting some of the men's stuff for my husband for christmas!

Peter Miller has excellent golf shirts. I don't mind buying high end golf shirts for casual wear more than golfing. I just don't want to ruin a expensive golf shirt from all the sweat here in the south. I have found some good deals on FJ fitted golf shirts on e-bay.

I don't but anything Nike............

In my opinion nothing fits quite like Under Armour. The shirts are god awful expensive but they really do hold up and keep a nice shape.

All other brands tend to be a little baggy in my opinion. Dead collars, extra material in the torso, an extra 1/4" on the sleeves.. just kind of meh. Whatever mould Under Armour uses for their shirts just fits really well for me.

Recently I've got into independent golf apparel companies and the products they offer.

While the UK doesn't have the same quantity and easy availability of the UK they do have some decent ones coming through.

My newest favorite is Warwick House golf

I bought a course logo shirt a couple year's ago and it had a PING tag, but I could not ever identify the manufacturer. It fits me better than any other golf shirt I've tried. It's super comfortable and moves with me when I swing, it's breathable and quick drying, it's athletic cut and the sleeves are the perfect length to not be in my way, and provide a nice gun show!💪😅. If I could ever find who made it I'd own a closet full of them.

When playing an event associated with another golf website in 2017, we were given team "uniforms" made by Ping.  I agree, it was all very comfortable stuff.  In looking at the Ping website, the selection is pretty small, so maybe they're phasing themselves out of the clothing business.

Yeah, most of the OEM club makers contract with outside companies for their apparel, so it's difficult to identify who actually made it. A few year's ago I had an issue with Callaway shirts and I was directed to the manufacturer for the warranty and I wanna say it was Van Heusen, but don't quote me on that, that handled the replacements.

Hello all I have a big collection of shirts including some Polo and golf  shirts too. I love shirts a lot but when the question comes regarding fabric then only I choose cotton shirts, the best comfort a fabric can give with best fitting is only the cotton shirt. So I will suggest to all newbies to choose either a plain shirt or a printed one but remember one thing always that the best comfort only can be given by a cotton one.

As a bigger guy I’ve never worn PM or Travis Mathews or any of the other big names because you just couldn’t find them in 3XL.

live been loosing weight and I’m wearing 2XL now and I need to get a couple of the nicer shirts to give them a try.

unfortunately most of my shirts are from the Ben Hogan Collection from Wal-Mart

I have a variety of shirts by UA, Oakley, and a few others. I recently bought an Adidas Ultimate365 golf shirt that I really like. It is moisture-wicking but is a touch thicker than those super silky shirts so that its hides a bit of the dad-bod contours.

There was a Puma shirt that I really liked (print-wise) at my local shop yesterday. I'm probably going to pick that up and give Puma a try as well.

I really like Lacoste polo shirts. Of course, these T-shirts are not very cheap, but I still plan to buy one for myself.
I've only recently started taking an interest in golf, so I don't know any other brands yet. So far, I've been wearing regular T-shirts with different prints and colors. But, of course, I understand that you can not go golf in such clothes.
Regardless, these ordinary cool T-shirts will always remain in my heart. We have the whole family in these clothes. Mom also loves these interesting T-shirts, which she buys on https://matohash.com/collections/mom-t-shirts. In them, she feels comfortable and easy.

I have picked up several pairs of Greg Norman shorts at Costco over the years that I really like and seem to recall shirts from time to time as well. I'll keep a look out and pick one up at Costco prices (I may given in and pick up some KS gloves and wedges as well while I'm there 😬).

These days it seems a little hard to find what you’re looking for without spending anywhere from $55-$80. With that said, I typically look for sales or discount codes from the brands I like…most places will give a military discount if you ask.  I’ve recently been turned on to Rhoback & Ostrch.  The Ostrch polos are made of bamboo, and they are bar-none the most comfortable polos I’ve ever had. Ostrch.com the owner is Zac Radford and if you follow him on Instagram or YouTube, they are always having site wide sales. Rhoback.com has a ton of unique shirts, and if you follow Bryan Bros on YouTube, they give a code for first time purchases.

Looking to find an authentic good quality linen, not cotton, shirt for next summer.  I've heard real linen is cooler in summer and warmer in winter and the older they get the better they perform.  Sounds like just the thing for a walk-carry player.  I know linen shirts can get quite expensive so looking for insights from one's direct golf experience with them, or from just regular wear, as well as supplier sources.

Good hand action comes from good body action.

Living at the end of US1 in Key West, I rely exclusively on moisture wicking shirts.  I have a range of manufactures in my closet from Ping, Adidas, Under Armour and FootJoy.    Nothing what others considered high end shirts.  Because of the combination of environment (sun, heat, sweat, etc.) and how rough I can be with shirts, I've saved money in the past by buying excellent condition used golf shirts on eBay.  That way I feel a little better when they get damaged, and they need to be tossed.

The only exception is a recent purchase of a Peter Millar shirt.  This past July, my wife and I were in St. Andrews (a week before The Open).  My wife wanted to buy me a shirt with the Old Course emblem.  She handpicked this Peter Millar for my birthday.  I've had customer made dress shirts and other high-end products in the past, but I think this was the most expensive shirt I've ever owned.  I love the pattern, feel and fit of the Peter Millar shirt.  However, there's a part of me that is afraid to wear it!  Somehow, Wayne's World keeps going through my head with "I'm not worthy....I'm not worthy!"
