crossfit and golf

How many crossfitters are there out there? I have been doing it for 4 years and hit the ball farther than ever, at 51yo. Just trying to see if there are any exercises that I need to be doing. I am also trying to keep my back from breaking down. Thats my biggest concern going forward. For those of you that havent tried CF, its a game changer. It makes me feel like an athlete again. Thanks

No Crossfit for me, but I do some moderate weight lifting and stretching to help keep in shape.  A couple of the stretch exercises are tailored for increasing torso rotation as I've been trying to increase my backswing a wee bit.  I had a pretty good regiment going this past winter in Yuma as the place we have down there has a fitness center... fallen off the schedule some since getting back home.

@Zen Snake created a thread about Golf Wod in the unofficial reviews section. Its a crossfit like workout program. Im guessing most of us that do crossfit or crossfit-like programs will be hanging out there.

Some great exercises are going to be your olympic lifts, jump ropes, box jumps, that power and explosion will translate well. I also think unilateral and rotational work like landmine pressing and single arm dumbbells translate well. Oh and all the core

forgot to mention, I'm a PT, CSCS, and active in crossfit so I do have some skin in the game
