to my knowledge it does not take any of the environmental variables into account for tracking your distances.  It does however filter out partial shots and outliers in your distances once you have enough shots.

Here you can see the 3 shots out of 11 are being used in calculations on my AP2 GW:

I have to say, and you already obviously know:  this is a tremendous testing opportunity MGS and Cobra have given you all...truly amazing just from a fiscal standpoint alone.  That said, all of you are absolutely rising to the challenge (no pun intended).

Haha. Not at all ... I was having trouble with it yesterday as well. At the top or bottom of this thread, click the arrows to the left and that should get you all the way back to the beginning of the thread and David’s placeholder. 

Hopefully his intro will appear for you there.

David noticed this today as well and send a message to STUD about it.  I'm guessing it will be up again soon. but it looks like the rest of the intro's were not effected.

Nice to see they factor out the outliers, but does anyone know for sure how they factor in weather or elevation changes for club distances? I've heard they do so for the "caddy" feature, but more asking about the general club gapping distances.

I was only aware for the Caddy portion where it give you true vs plays like distances.  I am not aware of anything like that for the club performance data.  Here is a snip from Arccos's FAQs

It doesn’t factor that into play for the club distances. I can’t answer why it doesn’t, it should I’m my opinion. Nonetheless, you are correct, the law of averages will give you a proper average in the end. Usually after about 5-7 rounds.

Are you sure? This six iron on hole 6 was playing significantly longer than the actual yardage (about 180), yet it shows the actual yardage I hit it on the club chart.

Ahh, yes the rangefinder on the course does adjusted distances for your shot, however those adjustments aren’t figured into your “how far you hit the club” distances. Right?

That was my understanding as well.

And he may have been lapping up some milk from a saucer while wearing a championship belt after feeling the intro love from his fellow Spies ... but this competition is 8 WEEKS long! And he feels the threat from the vet in having his intro post taken down.  

@daviddvm ain’t no one trick pony, for he carries a lot of horsepower. Plus, who needs cute puppy photos or venomous gifs or strong calves (albeit, they’re almost Mickelson like ) when it’s this dude that deals with them on the regular!

Yes the Caddie shows you the adjustment base on conditions, the metrics they use to calculate club distances I do believe are different.

Question for the testers...As you are starting to get a few rounds under your belt with the new clubs, and work through the honeymoon phase, do you think there is another club out there that would have performed better for you?  Example being do you think the SIM driver would out perform your Cobra?

I’ve only been to the range so far really, so take this with a grain of salt

• The Hybrid has really wanted to move left.  It looks closed to me at address and the ball flight has been more left than I’d like.
• The irons feel great, but I will need to get used to the weight.  They are significantly heavier than my previous gamers, with 15 grams coming from the shafts and it feels like some head weight too. 

Outside of that I’ve been very happy with the performance and flight I’ve been seeing so far.  Trying to get out tomorrow and Friday for 9 each morning.  So I’ll have more to report back after that.
