#COBRACONNECT Challenge 4

As many of you know I've been dealing with some severe elbow pain for a while and after conferring with my doctors, Chairmen [mention=73629]GolfSpy STUDque[/mention] , Lexi Thompson and my family, it is with deepest regrets that I announce my withdrawal from the Cobra Connect Challenge. I want to thank Cobra Golf & My Golf Spy for the opportunity and I wish my fellow competitors best of luck as they continue through the final challenges. While I'm down, I'm not out and still have a few things to offer over the coming weeks so keep your eyes peeled.

Injuries just stink. Flat out.

I hope your elbow won’t prevent you from being a keyboard warrior in here. The gif game is always fantastic.

I hate to hear this, as you've really brought your A game to this competition. I hope your elbow heals up soon and you'll be out playing again before long. Take care of yourself.

Despite my earlier comment about playing dress ups, I decided after watching Lexi Thompson attempting to Reed her lie at the Women's Open that  I just couldn't resist.

I’ve got a tee time booked tomorrow at an executive course. It will be three generations playing golf! My oldest son, grandpa and papa, and myself!

I’m looking forward to having my son out there again after he came in Maine, but this one will be a better fit for him.

It is time to reveal my masterpiece. I call it “When Rickie Went Bryson”. As you may know, Rickie ranks 121st on Tour in driving distance, 29 yards behind fellow Cobra member Bryson. After spending a year giving up that much off the tee, Rickie decided to adopt Bryson’s diet so he could get mad gains and start dropping bombs off the tee. The transformation is the stuff of legends!

Didn't play a round today. I had a lesson on Thursday and didn't want to play without at least a half bucket of range practice to work on some small changes.

If you've read my work in progress thread here on the forums, one of my goals this season was to be able to carry 250 yards with the driver. Have to say with the SpeedZone Xtreme I'm getting really, really close to hitting that goal.

Nice towering shots today. The changes we made on Thursday were geared toward shallowing my AoA (moving to positive with the driver) and today's session seems to have validated those changes, my average launch angle shot up quite a bit.

I'm still playing the driver a the stamped stock loft of 9 degrees.

I had a personal best round going. I stood on the 8th tee at plus 2.  Then I hit the gas, and the chassis tore out from under me and took off into the woods as I fell to the ground with the rest of the shyt-bucket of my game. 

 

That 10 is crossed out for ESC.  My handicap still dropped

91 is a heat advisory? In Texas of all places? I remember there was a year in Dallas where the temps didnt drop below 100 or something for like 30 days. 91 these days in SoCal (inland empire not coastal area) is like phew its final cooling down lol

That's awesome! I think it's great all of you are getting out to play together and it sounds like it'll be a fun time for your son. Don't let him beat you too bad and enjoy the family time.

I’m sure it won’t be long before he does beat me.

These cobra clubs are giving me as much of a boost as they can, but they won’t keep up with old man time.

Shoutout to @Nunfa0 for having the same fantastic idea of doing a few different cobra/puma ambassadors as our entry. Felt like it was good keeping up with the CCC4 Thus far and telling a story (if you have not seen these 100 pages back do yourself a favor).

My story will be my “Mark throughout the round”

Of course when I first get to the course my Rickie comes out. Ready to go with so many hopes and dreams for a round. This is my “ready to party Mark”:

Now I may feel like a big hitter but of course I occasionally don’t quite get past the red Or “ladies” tees. But I’ll be damned if I don’t still look good like Lexi. This is my “sexy Mark”:

 

Now of course after a dribble off the tee I have to redeem myself and put a spanking on one. Starting to feel my inner Bryson. This is my “big swinging D Mark”:

While I may 3 putt 94.4% of the time on 18 I’m still good for 5.6% on the singles! That’s when I get to fist pumping like my boy big daddy duff. This is my “cool as a cucumber Mark”:

Lastly by the end of the round I feel like Norman. I may not be hoisting trophies but I still feel like a winner! This is my “champion Mark”:

 

Hope y’all enjoyed my rendition of the cobra folks and didn’t scar you to badly. Good luck contestants this week!
