#COBRACONNECT Challenge 4

I really had no idea how many times I would cycle through my clubs, but it turned out to be 3 almost 4 times.

 

On the bright side I had one birdie, that makes at least 1 birdie in 4 consecutive rounds a personal best! I parred 18, which I doubled last week and tripled the week before.  

 

I was left with this beauty after trying to hit a choke down 8-iron 60 yards into the green! Had to pitch through the trees to get back to the hole. Ugh!

 

Tough round, I hope you get a chance to play again soon, and I hope the course is in an better shape and easier setup

Agreed. Tough round, Hammer. Guess I’ll try to beat that with my B+ game as well. I trust that you’ll be able to get back out for another 18 and score significantly better.  

For those that have gotten 18 in under this current challenge/format ... have any of y’all tried putting with a club other than your putter to move thru your bag quicker?

You're @B.Boston, of course you could pull them both off. I got faith in you. Personally, I agree with you and really love the Puma Fishing Co. Hat. That one's just sweet!

Also, couldn’t help but notice that if you had worn your new Puma kicks, you would have been able to easily DeFowler that ball from the rough to green with your driver.

Unfortunately the week I'm having to turn in a DNR...my back blew out on the 14th hole and it was all I could do to just make it back to the car. I just left my trainer's and she helped me get some relief but I'm on rest for the next few weeks

The course was in AMAZING shape. This is by far my favorite course. It's called Purgatory. It has the most sand bunkers in the state and you really have to think your way around it. 

I wasn't on a bad run through 9. My quad really hurt me but my putting was really doing well! There were a few times I putted with a club that wasn't my putter and I tried to use my putter around the greens whenever possible to save a wedge.

Hoping they pop up on amazon tomorrow. I have a credit there right now.

Otherwise I’ll have to check out other options.
Side note, I’m glad that they’re playing at TPC this year, but I’m sad I can’t go. The past few years I’ve gone with my son and he really liked seeing the pros play.

It fits the course perfectly!!  Each hole has it's own name to go with the theme.  Hole 17 is the signature hole as an "island green" but instead of water it's 2 acres of bunkers.

Had a great range session with my driver today, which is a nice confidence boost, since in our skins game last weekend, I jacked 4 tee shots OB. (Still “only” shot 80 somehow) Anyway, it was a great help heading into my challenge round tomorrow.
