I haven't had the same resounding overall improvement as @B.Boston, but I'm really loving the improvement at the top of my bag with the SpeedZone Xtreme, 3W and 2 hybrid:

image.png.19d2267fd8bc61b1e2d57ed55fefd249.png

Off the tee, the 2 hybrid is good for 230 total a good majority of the time, but there are a few fairway shots that are dragging down that number some.

My last round was a great example of the consistency I've been enjoying with the SZ Xtreme (I hit a tree on No. 13):

Damn man, that is some awesome consistency!  I can't say mine has been the same, but today I was finding the center of the face much better, but had a bit too much of a cut swing.

Those 3-wood and hybrid gaps look perfect too.  Nothing on the course you can't attack with that.

Yes, I give a good mix of credit here.  Most importantly, I have had significantly fewer heavy/chunky shots with the Forged Tec irons.  I'm not sure if that is a result of me reacting to the increased weight, or the sole design of the clubs.  I feel like I have a much better control of the bottom of my swing with these and the distance has been very consistent. This morning round was a great example of it because it was a bit soggy in spots and I normally would have 1 or 2 chunked shots and I was taking normal divots today.

Secondly, with the challenges I've put additional focus on making sure I get onto the green, or at least don't leave myself short sided.  I'll have to check those stats but I have to believe I'm not leaving as many short as I was to start the year.

I'm lazy to go back and read your intro, were your precious irons fit for you?

Envious of the amount of space and sunlight of your at-home workplace. Mine is the dungeon, I mean basement thankfully under a subterranean window with a skyview obscured by an almost transparent well cover. Yes, My previous clubs were fit for me back in.... 2014ish.  They served we very well, but in the last season and half I started to make some changes and picked up some speed.

@B.Boston Do you feel that forged irons in general are heavier or just that the Cobra irons are heavier than your last irons?

They are heavier than my previous irons for sure.

But they also are heavy compared to Lacassem ’s P790.

My 8 iron is 7 grams heavier than his with the same shaft, similar grips (his has a screw in arccos sensor, mine I built in) and mine are 1/2 inch shorter. Doesn’t sound like much but that’s not an insignificant amount of weight either.

Ah icic. I am wondering if forged irons in general are heavier but I guess it depends on the clubs themselves.

Unfortunately, I’ve not had any AHA moments with my Cobra’s like my fellow competitors. That said, I’m in the middle of a swing “rebuild” and I’m starting to see signs of improvement. So I’m very hopeful for the future. The bright spot the last few weeks has definitely been the 3 wood off the deck. I have a lot more confidence going into par 5s now!

Well, you better get on it....

I'm starting to think I backed the wrong horse!
