Brian A
So I was in the market for upgrading clubs (driver/woods/hybrid) and I understand why you have to tape them up, however does the tape affect how the ball tracking works in the store? Yes, but it may depend on the launch monitor. Taping the face impacts spin and if the device is capturing the actual ball spin than the reading will be inaccurate. Wedgie
I know on SkyTrak when I use impact tape my iron distance is about 20 yards longer because there is no spin at all. The good thing is retail stores don’t use SkyTrak but it will make a difference.Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy Brian A and aerospace_ray 2 Quote Wedgie Driver - XXIO X Driver 9.5 - Launcher Turbo 2 hybrid - F9 One Length 3-L - ER 1.2 Top Flite Gamer Play Right

heavygolffeels
Lol. Clubs can help straighten out ball flight, but if its a super slice, you are delivering the club face way too open and putting a lot of sidespin on the ball to make it go way right. Reducing the spin with the tape, make the ball fly straighter, but it is very possible than without it you will get more spin and more curvature. Hopefully you picked up a draw bias driver, or adjustable, or something with more weight in the heel. So, work on the indian not the arrrow. Need to deliver the face more square. Yup, got the TS2 and adjusted it to more draw bias. the Indian needs to shorten his back swing and make a slower deliberate transition...I know my problem, just can’t get myself to do it!
