Grit Golf
Heel relief....Something pre worn off the shelf....The reason is I want something I can use off of tight lies and soft ones with some help. Opinions? Thanks so much! Cleveland RTX4 XLow grind is about as low as I’ve ever hit, it’s easy to open up off a tight lie, but the bounce is too low for the conditions I typically play in.Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy THEZIPR23 1 Quote “He’s a Cinderella story. PMookie
Heel relief....Something pre worn off the shelf....The reason is I want something I can use off of tight lies and soft ones with some help. Opinions? Thanks so much! There is no wedge out there that has greater heel relief than Edel wedges. I promise you. I’ve tried them all, and played Edel for 6 years. Seriously, no other wedge has the built-in versatility. Here’s a link and a pic from the site and one of mine. NO other wedge sits flatter. Period. Try to lay open a Vokey, RTX, etc and the leading wedge will be up at LEAST a 1/4 to a 1/3 of the ball! They can NOT lay flat like an Edel! Can’t be touched!https://edelgolf.com/pages/wedgesAnd that carpet has zero pile.... Berber. silver & black
Why not take your wedge to the grinder and take as much off the heel as you like? bens197

zrumble
You can get a custom grind from Titleist and ask for heel relief. aerospace_ray
Concur above regarding EDEL wedges and the fact that you can contact a major OEM (Titleist, Callaway, Ping, TM, etc) and request assistance for a custom sole grind. Many do that. For informational purposes I also recommend Tom Wishon components. He was one of the first to write about this and I put his wedges with any OEM offering.
