Middler
In 56 years, I have never bought or played in spikeless shoes, just out of habit and afraid I'd slip occasionally, especially when the ground is wet. But I finally broke down and based on the recent MGS recommendation, I bought some of the Adidas CodeChaos shoes in Cloud White / Signal Green / Glow Blue - I have worn them for 4 rounds now, and I absolutely love them. They are incredibly comfortable (way more than any spiked shoe I have ever owned) and I am shocked at how stable they are and how good the traction is, at least on dry ground - I LOVE THEM (yes I know I said it already). I guess I am not a good judge having never worn other spikeless shoes - but I am totally sold on these FWIW. Thanks MGS! thatjasonlee
The CodeChaos are beautiful shoes. My only "beef" with it is that for Men, there are no BOA options unless you opt for the high tops. Having said that, they still tempt me. They are great looking shoes, and I've heard they r super comfy. sirchunksalot
I looked at some of the Code Chaos at DSG, unfortunately they only had them in the white/gray combo which I didn't like. If they'd had them in that color combo we might have had a winner, those are sharp! I bought a pair of the CP Traxion SL and love them. They are light, comfortable, and stable. Plus, they came in wide. I will definitely buy more Adidas shoes. Micah T
Flip4000
I bought a pair myself for the season as range/ lesson shoes and they are really good. I thought they might be unstable but I was shocked. Only thing is they feel like I am standing much taller than in my typical footjoy shoes. I also like the skin over the top of the knit. I find them to fit tight on my feet. I typically walk and I have worn them once or twice while walking thinking they would loosen up which they really haven't. My feet are pretty sore after walking 18, after riding for 18 they don't seem to bother me too much. That being said if I can find them in Wide and in the color I want, I would definitely buy another pair. Wedgie
I picked up a pair of the Code Chaos a few weeks ago and they are probably the best spikeless shoes I have ever worn in regards to grip in wet conditions. They are definitely comfy but the Adidas S2G are way more comfortable IMO but they aren't waterproof. When I switch between the two I have noticed tired feet after wearing the Code Chaos. Maybe I just need to break them in a bit but it is noticeable. I started this thread shortly after buying. I bought my (white/green) CodeChaos shoes in June and I’ve worn them 1-3 times/week ever since. One foot slipped ONCE teeing off, and that’s it. It’s winter now and I’m still playing 2-3 times/week - every course I play has muddy areas this time of year, but my shoes have never let me down. The comfort, stability and traction of my CodeChaos have been so good I just bought another pair in grey/black. Where I was strictly riding carts pre-Covid, I am walking more often than riding now - the CodeChaos are much easier to walk in than my spikes. My only problem now is what to do with my two pairs or FJ spikes (Contours & DryJoys)?
