NEW - Scotty Cameron Ball Tool

Recommended Posts

I suppose it's a little better, but for me it's still way overpriced. He is a marketing genius though, so the minute he releases these people (especially those who bought the first one) will gobble 'em all up. To each his own though.

While I have not used one, my understanding is that the tool helps you aim. You place the tool behind the ball to mark it. Remove the ball. Find the line of the putt, then see which line on the tool matches that line. You then replace the ball, lining up the line on the ball with the line on the tool.

The new holes are to increase aerodynamics :D

That's a good question Miboy. One the one hand, I think it could, because you have to mark your ball, and I don't think there's any rules about what you can have on that mark, but there are rules about using aiming aids. For example, you couldn't use another marker to establish the line you wanted one either sided of your intended line.

FWIW I don't see this as an advantage anyhow, you are still relying on yourself to establish your line, and still have to hit the putt on that line with teh right speed.

And lastly: OMFG WTF $40.00?!!! You have got to be freaking kidding me?!

It takes a lot of money to mill that name and logo on there. :P

Not to worry.

A lot of markers are lost on the fairways while their former owners are busy with a phone, glove, club, ball, tee or something else.
