Advice while playing combined stableford?

Playing in a tournament that is combined stableford. Enter as a pair, play together, add up stabies afterwards. Question is: can you help each other with putting lines and give each other advice?

If you two players are a team, the other guy is your partner, and you are allowed to give advice to your partner.  But to be sure, the right thing is to ask before you start...."Are we partners as defined in the rules?"
