wely324
Too many pairs to count but they are all FootJoy aside from 1 pair. I have a pair of dryjoys I use for rainy days. I have 1 pair of Justin Boots golf shoes in genuine black alligator that I rarely ever wear. And then the rest of my shoes are FJ classics and 1857's. A couple pair of all whites, white w/ brown saddle, white w/ red saddle, a couple black w/ brown saddle, brown w/ tan saddle, and all black. Cruskater
I'm at 5 at the moment: 2 FJ Contour Boa (1 worn, 1 still in box) white/navy 1 FJ Pro SL Boa 2018 black/silver 1 FJ Pro SL Boa 2019 black/white 1 FJ Pro SL Boa 2019 navy Probably going to be getting at least one new pair this winter/Spring. I switched from spiked to spikeless a few years ago due to the increase walking I was doing on the course as well as issues with bending/breaking the Contour spikes on my driver/3-wood swings. Boa really came in handy with the pandemic and the onslought of locker room closures. I was easily able to change in and out of the car (as I did at many a muni). I still find it hard to find a good boa spikeless. My Pro SL's are good but by hole 13-14 start to bother me when walking. Quote Visit my blog! JalanK
I "own" about 8-10 pairs of shoes. However I currently wear only two pair. As I've aged I've found I need a wider pair of shoes. To get the right fit, I've found I need an XW in 9.5. Not enough companies provide that option. So, I've relied on FJ to supply me. I currently rock two pair of the FJ Fury. I find them to be comfortable and dry. I would like a firmer sole. As a walker I experienced some big toe tendonitis. Xtra Strength Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen took care of that. ChiefMikeOfficer
I read this too quickly and at first thought you were golfing in crocs...Don't knock the Crocs they used to make golf shoes, and I think they had a tour contract or two. I've played local short courses in Crocs just for the hell of it, and still have a (ridiculous) pair of Dawgs that I picked up for around $10 and still break out once in a while - very similar to Crocs but specifically for golf. Tom D.
New Balance come in wide and also Extra Wide, which work out great for me. I currently have 4 pair of style 1701 (spiked), 3 pair in black and one pair of white. As they are a model from a couple years back, they are getting a bit harder to find on the bay, but the pricing is decent at about $49. SUPER comfortable right out of the box! myherobobhope
I've discussed my shoe problems elsewhere here... but I figured I'd explain things... I got fit into 14 wides about 10 years ago for the width of my foot... I could wear some 13 4Es, if they were built wide enough... Over the course of time, I never got refit and basically just shifted to online buying and purchasing shoes on sale... Anytime I saw 14 wides, I would buy them. If they looked like clown shoes? I'd buy them. If they looked like bowling shoes? I'd buy them... I amassed 6 pairs of shoes and basically only wore 3 pair as the rest were ugly and uncomfortable, with one pair being soft spikes that I don't wear on the course. Last year in the member member, I wandered into some mud helping my partner recover a golf ball... I now owned 6 pairs of shoes and only wore 1 to actually play golf... So I did the only logical thing and bought the 7th pair of shoes... tomorrow, I'm going to donate 5 or so to Goodwill to get them out of the house... They are mostly ugly but in decent shape. Shout out to FootJoy HyperFlex shoes for being comfortabale and large enough to fit my box feet. Justincasalino
5 pairs for me. They tend to rotate based 75% on what I'll be doing that day and 25% on outfit. If I'm walking twilight 9 I'll usually use any of my non-spiked pairs with my skechers go golf elites being the go to because of hour comfy they are. If I'm playing a proper 18 I'll wear spikes like my Adidas tour 360s or Footjoy Originals ( although i dont find them comfortable enough to walk 18 in so i usually save them for rainy days in a cart). I've been fortunate to have a boss (head pro) who loves shoes and is the same size as me. So ive gotten a few pairs that have been worn like once or twice handed off to me.
