tchat07 1,099
Sometimes if you ask the universe answers back! Par 3 closest to the pin entry! Came out to 9 feet (heel-toe steps)! If only I wasnt using the spinless Titleist Velocity maybe could have had my first 1! Ended up being our last hole of the day also because after hitting our drives on the next hole BOOM ! Nasty slow moving T-storm rolled through. Is there a record for the shortest HR round?Sent from my SM-G950U using MyGolfSpy mobile app

sirchunksalot 8,752
After working yesterday, I decided I needed a trip to the golf course to unwind and relax after waking up at 3:30 a.m. for six days straight and building cars. My wife offered to come along again and be caddy and mental game coach. I'm glad she did, I had a complete and utter meltdown after the first three holes left me sitting at +8 for the round. I did start off the round playing the pink Velocity, which met it's demise getting buried in thick weeds due to a snap hooked topped drive on the third hole. I'll miss you buddy, I hardly knew you. After taking a 9 on that par 5, things settled down with me playing the last 6 holes +6 for a round of 50. I finally settled the mind down and started playing golf and not golf swing. My shot of the day came on the par 4 4th hole. I topped driver, leaving myself 180 yards to the pin, pulled the 5 wood and absolutely nutted one over some bushes to within 7 feet. I missed the birdie putt, but still managed to make par. THAT was the shot where I found my mojo (not Nike) and propelled me to a better round. I stared focusing on the shot I wanted to hit and just hit it. It was a wonderful day, I'm thankful my wife joined me and we had a lot of fun. Nothing to report as far as the competition goes, but it was a great time. 4

sirchunksalot 8,752
I had a combo contest kind of round today, playing both the Hard Rock Challenge and the woods/wedges competition over in the Cobra Connect Challenge thread. Overall I shot a 97, but only played the front 9 with a Titleist Velocity where I shot a 46. My handicap has taken a battering lately going up to 21.6. I played Chatata Valley in Cleveland TN hitting from the white tees. I played part of the front nine with a single that joined up with me on the fifth hole and he did a good job keeping me grounded and focused after the last few rounds have damaged my mental game. Today I just focused on a target in front of the ball and trusted it completely. It was a beautiful day on the course and the first time in a while I've played early. The lack of heat was a pleasant surprise after burning up the last few times I've played. I did have company most of the day in the form of sweat bees that constantly invaded my cart every time I got out of it. I'm just thankful they weren't wasps.
