Here is the look at the 1st Ping G20 driver to hit eBay.

Not too bad. A little "Transformers" look, but nothing ompared to the RAZR hehehehe.

 

ALigment aid is still as ugly any PING driver.

 

Funny how there is not a lot of buzz around the G20 release while there was such a huge impact when the R11 or RAZR came out...

Ping just keep chugging along never really seeming to ever fight the marketing wars like Callaway and Taylormade do.... sort of like Titleist does! Excepet for the BS that Callaway started with Titleist ProV1 ball. Like after the pulling all the balls off the shelf only to have Titleist appeal and win... the damage Callaway caused to Titleist didn't last too long Titleist is still the best ball out there, although I liked the older series like the 2005 ProV1X the best. But that's a whole other subject!!

Is the bottom golden or silver? Looks gold to me, but that may be the plastic.

It's silver on the sole. Also, that one is Tour Issued and is being sold from as legit of a tour source as you can get. I've bought from him before, not through ebay, his stuff is top notch and you won't find better customer service.

 

I've also been told this this is the best performing driver Ping has produced in at least a decade.

IIRC the i15 got much more fanfare than the G15. Maybe they're trying to build anticipation for the i20?

The price puts me in a pause for a couple of years while I wait to see what the early birds have to say about the club and hope to see someone I know using one so I can see if the price is warranted by performance.

You realize those aren't retail prices right? They're higher cause they're tour issued heads, meaning they're off the tour van and manufactured to tighter tolerances, exacting specs, etc. Retail won't be that high.
