Has anyone tried the SuperStroke WristLock grip yet? I am a left hand low putter, but it still seems like a really cool idea.

I went to pgass to install it but ended up holding off. I don't think the bump out is big enough for me so it feels just as foreign as a normal wrist lock. Probably personal preference but had hoped for something different.

I bought two of them.  Installed one on an Odyssey Metal X milled #7.  I too use a left hand low grip.  It is better than the pistol grip that was on the putter when I got it.

The grip is nice, but I think it works better for a traditional grip.  That is why I have not installed the second grip yet.

I just got one and have not installed it,  I am a lefty and put right hand low and i have tried holding it in that grip and I am unsure about the feel so I have been hesitant.

I finally was able to track down a lefty ER2 Evnroll putter at 34" and thinking I might put it on there for a trial and not put it on my gamer for now.

Just wanted to bump this thread. I'm interested in trying one of these, so I'm looking for more opinions. I'm also interested in those who've already posted who might have one to sell.

I had one earlier this year. I installed it the conventional way for the bigger pistol shape for my top hand. The grip itself felt great but threw the swing weight out of balance since it is heavier than I normally use. Also to note they claim you don’t have to extend your putter but unless you want your putter to play shorter you WILL have to.

The experiment begins!

So far, it seems promising. I'm keeping my putter at 34", so the bulge in the grip really settles more into the palm of my left hand than it does strictly on my wrist. But it still has the effect of reminding me to keep my hands and wrists calm and to putt with my shoulders:

I'll keep this thread updated as I keep testing.

Right now, it looks like the answer is 10. There are a few sticks over on that rack I'm not counting: my wife's putter, Kirke's SuperSpeed sticks, and my ill-fated left-handed putter experiment. There are probably 3 putters on the rack (and one that lives in my bag) that would be candidates for going to the course. That leaves six others that likely just need to find new homes.

I have three in my truck toolbox & two in the woodshed.  The two out in the woodshed are pretty much for shooing rats out.

Sounds more like you should be shooting the rats instead of shooing the rats out.

Installed it and tried it yesterday, absolutely a joke to its claims. Nowhere near enough bulge to get near my wrist without massive forward shaft lean. So the wrists are still in the game.

I would keep it if I liked that grip size because the bulge does fit nicely in the crease of the palm.

So a rename to a palmlock would be my suggestion.

Bought a couple of the Wristlock grips last year and installed one on a backup putter.  I use a left hand low stroke and the Wristlock did not work that well for me unless I used my right hand to wrap around the grip and grasp my left arm.   Still have  the other unused grip and will trade for a different grip if someone wants to try it.

Hi all. I’m a left hand low putter. I average 24 puts a round and am a decent putter. Traditionally I’ve used the biggest grips possible to minimize wrist hinge and allow shoulders to flow through the stroke.

however on longer puts it was an issue so I switched to the flatso 1.0, then 2.0 but hacen found the rythem with short putts. Anyone have any thoughts on grips?

I know that I'm resurrecting this post but I'm just wondering if anybody who bought the wrist lock in the past 2 years actually kept using it? Or had SS since improved the design to increase the locking piece? I was about to go buy one but noticed a lot of negative reviews about the grip not being as functional as advertised due to the massive, and possibly absurd amount forward press required when the grip is "locked" in. I'm not a forward press putter so this might just throw me all out of sorts.

Any updates?

Thanks!

I had one on my putter last year.  Results started off very good but faded over time.  I found myself gripping down lower and lower and locking the nub against my forearm instead of in my wrist joint. This created an issue where I wasn't "swinging" the putter and I was leaving a lot of them short.  Think I'd have needed a longer, heavier headed putter to make this work more effectively.  That said, If you're missing shorties or yipping, I think you should definitely give this a shot.  I got really good inside of 5 ft with this grip.

I have installed and kept the wrist lock. The difference from the above comments is I did so on an armlock putter. I shortened the putter significantly (3-4 inch) so the bump is right in my wrist area and I use a conventional grip.

Seen a significant improvement in my putting this year. This is also my first go with an armlock style putter so I can’t quantify how much is the grip vs a whole new style of putting.

I cannot see this working with a normal putter unless you added a significant amount of loft as you need to forward press a lot with this grip, hence why it’s perfect with an armlock style putter.
