Testers ANNOUNCED! SkyCaddie LX5 Watch

Recommended Posts

Troy Medina, Fort Collins, CO

I have never used a watch for golf purposes.. I have used a garmin for running and currently have an apple watch series 5.

I am at the mercy of the course markers and my playing parters for locating my distances on the course!

Thanks so much for a chance to be a tester!

I currently use the 18birdies app on my phone.  I find it moderately accurate but its a bit slow.  I don't own a rangefinder at the moment so this has been my only way other than on course markers to determine my yardage.

2. No, I use an app on my phone.

3. I use golf pad from the app store to determine distance.

Coming from an app user, I'd like to see how efficient these are.

I play golf 2-3 times a week all year round.

Currently use a Bushnell laser rangefinder and a Garmin G8 Approach GPS

I track my shot distance using these devices, I write well, plus I am a financial contributor to MGS.

Count me in for the testing group. I've been looking for a new GPS device and this is high on my list.

Thank you,

I was using Arccos  360 and my Apple Watch but hearing aid interfere with the Bluetooth and Arccos as of yet don’t have a fix for this issue!! I have used skygolf hand held units and like them , but haven’t used there watch but would very much like to.

2. Callaway uPro Go from Dec 2010 thru Jun 2015. In addition to distance to the green, it provided distance to the hazards as well

Golf Pad GPS app on Apple iPhone  - Jul 2015 thru Jun 2019

18 Birdies app on Apply iPhone - July 2019 thru present

3. Currently using 18 Birdies app, cart GPS when available, my partners rangefinder info when he shares it and I always compare with the course tee markers and yardage markers.  It is frustrating when they don't all agree.  I would be happy to test the new technology and provide a detailed review.
