the only gps I have ever used is18 birdies. I have just joined a new club and am learning the yardages. The sprinkler head yardages seem way off. I also use a range finder, but I am TERRIBLE at shooting pins. I end up just shooting near the pin or the front of the green and guestimating

There’s some irony when contemplating the market for watches in 2020.

Specifically, it’s a situation where the original purpose of the item is no longer a defining selling point.

Remember when the primary, if not the only, purpose of a watch was to keep time? Me neither.

It’s a reasonable assumption that time is anything but of the essence; golfers are far more interested in all of the golf-related stuff that this piece of wearable technology does.

The SkyCaddie LX5 GPS watch is built around the architecture of the SX500which was named the “Best Handheld GPS” in MyGolfSpy’s annual Most Wanted testing.

It offers an abundance of bundled golf technology, and did I mention it also tells time. Ain’t that something?

Yes I've used a Bushnell watch but it always beeped when a button got pushed in my backswing. Not good.

I currently use a Bushnell lazer.

I've used Game Golf app which sucked my phone battery like no tomorrow and would forget when I log my settings with the device.

I have a second hand range finder that is so inaccurate between readings it's just as hard to use

  2. Yes, currently rotate 2 as I am doing my own testing.  (older) Garmin S2 & Izzo Swami GPS watches

  3. Don’t have a range finder, but when my playing partner has one it gets used a lot.  I also use my watch to help with front, middle and back distances.

I am interested in testing this watch, I currently have Garmin S60 and a Bushnell Ion.   I have used the S60 for the last year and it has some very nice features but then again I have some issues with some of its other capabilities.  I would like to see how the SkyCaddie LX5 compares.  I golf on average 2-3 rounds a week and would look forward to giving the LX5 a great comparison.

1.  Kurt Lima Trinidad and Tobago. (hear me out first please, I know one of the rules is that the candidate must be from the USA but I think it would be very beneficially to have candidate from outside the USA to also perform testing since SkyCaddie devices would be bought by golfers world wide.)

2.  Yes Garmin S20

3.  GARMIN S20

I have never used a watch, I tried a range finder and didn't like it.

I currently use my phone with "The Grint" App.
