Some of golfers' favorite words: "It's in the hole!" "Split the fairway!" "You're dancing!" "It's dry." (OK, that last one isn't the best news, but if you're in tho

  1. Holden M. Sacramento
  2. I use a Bushnell Neo XS (yardage text only no graphics)
  3. I determine yardage with a combination of GPS and laser rangefinder.

I would love to test a GPS watch with full course graphics as my current digital yardage only style has numerous limitations

I currently use a Garmin S20. It is pretty good. It does not have any color and does not show the hole, but it seems accurate regarding the front, middle, back yardage. The battery lasts a long time. I have been considering an upgrade. A few years ago, I used a Skycaddie, but switched to Garmin based on the size and the ease of use. I will consider all options when I upgrade. I would love to test the watch. My history would allow me to know what features would help and which would not. I am in the Chicago, IL area.

There’s some irony when contemplating the market for watches in 2020.

Specifically, it’s a situation where the original purpose of the item is no longer a defining selling point.

Remember when the primary, if not the only, purpose of a watch was to keep time? Me neither.

It’s a reasonable assumption that time is anything but of the essence; golfers are far more interested in all of the golf-related stuff that this piece of wearable technology does.

The SkyCaddie LX5 GPS watch is built around the architecture of the SX500which was named the “Best Handheld GPS” in MyGolfSpy’s annual Most Wanted testing.

It offers an abundance of bundled golf technology, and did I mention it also tells time. Ain’t that something?

  2. Yes, is currently use a Garmin S20 and also have a Bushnell laser but never use it as I prefer the wristwatch GPS no question
  3. i use my wristwatch GPS every time, my Bushnell hasn’t come out of its case in over 90 rounds (I’ve play over 100+ rounds in 2020), I am always looking for the best watch GPS as I find them to be the best yardage tool period.
