  2. I need all the help I can get and two laser pin finders have gone belly-up in just a couple months after purchase. My golf friend has a GPS watch handheld, and he seems fairly happy.
  3. So, I use his GPS, marker stakes, sprinkler head markers, and dead reckoning. It's not working well.

I’ve used the SkyCaddie app, Arccos Caddie app, and currently use the SkyCaddie SX500.
Never used a GPS watch before, but would like to compare it with the handheld alternative.

I have used, and continue to use the 18Birdies GPS app.

I am very interested to see how this product compares with said app, as well as other products!

There’s some irony when contemplating the market for watches in 2020.

Specifically, it’s a situation where the original purpose of the item is no longer a defining selling point.

Remember when the primary, if not the only, purpose of a watch was to keep time? Me neither.

It’s a reasonable assumption that time is anything but of the essence; golfers are far more interested in all of the golf-related stuff that this piece of wearable technology does.

The SkyCaddie LX5 GPS watch is built around the architecture of the SX500which was named the “Best Handheld GPS” in MyGolfSpy’s annual Most Wanted testing.

It offers an abundance of bundled golf technology, and did I mention it also tells time. Ain’t that something?

Tried lots of them over the years. Golf buddy handheld, various rangefinders (TGW brand, MG brand), Garmin approach s2 watch, iPhone apps, and Bushnell Wingman. I currently use the TGW rangefinder or Wingman. Would love to get back to a watch though as my S2 just quit working a couple weeks ago and it’s way out of warranty!

Yes, I used to use a GolfBuddy Voice. Fairly accurate but no visuals.

I use a Bushnell rangefinder. This is great for finding that exact number to the pin but not do much for anything else.

This is such an awesome opportunity. As a bradycardia patient, I have to keep tabs on my heart rate often. Being able to have this not only while golfing but throughout the day would be life-changing! No more stopping to put the tracker on! Thanks and good luck to all!
