Invader Zim 315 Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 I just started playing about a year ago, quickly fell in love, and have amassed this bag via Ebay and other second hand sellers. One day, I plan to get fitted for a true set, but not before I really feel like my game is in the right place. Let me know what you think! Tom the Golf Nut Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 This looks like a good set. The big question is, If you have only been playing for a year how did you get your handicap to an 8? I'm sure there are plenty of Spy's that want to know your secret! Invader Zim 315 Posted July 14, 2020 Author Posted July 14, 2020 When I say I fell in love, I really fell in love! Was shooting mid to high 80s by the end of last summer, then spent all winter hitting into a net in my basement, watching youtube videos like Phil's Secrets of the short game and studying pros swings, etc to try and make tweaks. So far I've been right around 80-84 consistently this year with the occasional blow up hole here or there. Also I am 22 and played lacrosse and hockey in college so I feel like the golf swing motion felt a bit natural from the start. Nic Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 Good setup!! Congratulations on finding golf! There are several guys in my league who are in their 80s, and another just turned 90... so you have 60+ years to enjoy the hard work you are putting in now! Cheers!
Invader Zim 315 Posted July 28, 2020 Author Posted July 28, 2020 Well it took less than 2 weeks for my first change. Put in a PING G400 3 hybrid- am able to get it up much better and love the looks. Figured I'd post some pics to go with the update. Love these mizunos but when i am ready to actually get fit for a set (got these on ebay) i think i will need something with more meat on the bone, i struggle to control these old dawgs some days Driver: 2023 Callaway Paradym - Tensei AV White 65X 3w: Mizuno GT 180 14 degree 5w: Cobra Rad Speed 19 degree Irons: Mizuno Pro 225 4-PW Wedges: Vokey SM7 52F, 56M, 60M Putter: TaylorMade GTX black Ball: Titleist Pro V1x #7 2023 Callaway Paradym Driver Tester
