TESTERS ANNOUNCED! Sub 70 699 Pro Irons

Recommended Posts

2.6 Hdcp from Houston Tx

Srixon Z785 4-PW   8iron 167 carry

Really like the blade look to these irons and prefer a smaller profile, thinner top line and feel and workability Are very important for me. Consistent numbers and flight “window” are also a big part of my game. Would love to put these irons through the paces.

1) 9.3 index; Houston,TX

2) Sun70 699 irons; 8 iron = 160 yards

3) I know Jason and his team go above and beyond. The 699 pro was not available when I ordered my 699 irons. The oron quality is great.

  1. 8.9 & Bismarck, ND
  2. 716 AP2 Titleist Irons and 8-iron distance - 165-170 Yards
  3. What do you know about Sub70?  Not much, have looked into them for a friend as he was looking for a newer iron but didn't want to spend a ton on them.  Seem like they have a somewhat sleek looking design with a very minimalist look to it.

Mizuno 919 Hot Metals, 8 iron carry 155

Heard of Sub70 but never tried them or seen in person. Know they make D2C irons that look great and get good reviews. Interested to see if they live up to the hype.

8 handicap amputee golfer in Ohio.

Callaway Rogue 8 iron 160

Don't know much about them, other than reading about them on Instagram. Don't know anyone that plays them, but always trying to find reputable companies in the golf industry that isn't mass produced  or in the box stores. That's the main reason I play Snell golf balls.

Handicap: 12
Location: Fayetteville, NC
Current iron set: Sub 70 699 (4-pw)
8 iron distance: 140-145 yards

As far as I know, they are a small golf company from Sycamore, IL that focuses on high-end clubs at a direct to consumer price. Solid customer service from Jason and the Sub70 team, and their products are top notch when it comes to performance. Wanting to see how their 699 Pro version compares to my original 699s.

My handicap is a 14 and rhode island.

I'm currently using the cobra forged tour and my 8 iron is 150 160 on a good day and I dont know much about those irons. This is the first time I've seen them besides in pictures else where.

  3. I know the Sub70 brand is out of Chicago and offers the direct to consumer model which helps keep costs to the buyer low. They don't have a major presence but every review I have read are they are the real deal.
