Testers Announced! Reviewing the Sub 70 699 Pro irons will be: @Smellis745 @Tom the Golf Nut @GolfSpy MPR Reviews coming soon! _______________________________

Testers Announced! I'm thinking that Sub 70, as a company, is like America and Alexander Hamilton: young, scrappy, and hungry. And I'm also thinking that with a good iron in my hand,

Thanks everyone. I just did the happy dance around my office! ( At Work ). Ok i did get some strange looks......  I will put these to the test for sure!

  3. What do you know about Sub70?
    • I know they're a direct-to-consumer company based out of Illinois.  I'm also very interested in the 699 Pro irons.

  1. 0.7 From Macomb IL
  2. I currently play Srixon Z Forged blades with UST Mamiya x-stiff graphite shafts, 8 iron distance 170 yards
  3. I know that Sub 70 is DTC and that they don't actually design/engineer the clubs.  Most of what I know i have learned through MGS, but sounds like they are very customer friendly,  CEO is very accessible and they are committed to providing quality gear to better players for reasonable prices.

What do you know about Sub70?
One one of my favorite brands. DTC who take great satisfaction in making sure they give their customer the best experience. I probably wont be picked as I currently play Sub70 irons but would love to get my hands on the Pro's.

I hit my 8 168yds

Due to your articles I have been doing a ton of research on Sub 70 irons. I am in the market for a new set by the end of the year and have been reading all the articles, following instagram, and watching vids on youtube. I am a little scared as I really want to get fitted perfectly for this next set (see, I listen to you guys). Therefore I will be hitting up Golf Galaxy an hours away so I can do the fitting as perfectly as possible

Thank you for your service @Fugatec

  3. Based on what I have read online and heard from podcasts, they are a DTC company looking to disrupt the market with top quality clubs at less than major name brand prices. I was looking into a 3W from Sub70 so testing an iron set from them would be a good segway to getting other clubs from sub70 into the bag!

Thank you for your service @golfish!

  3. I have been following Sub70 golf for about a year now after hearing about them in the MSG most wanted testing.  Looking at the clubs they look premium at a DTC price.  If the 699 Pros were available last fall when I was looking for a new iron set I most likely would have purchased them.   The standard 699s had just a bit too much offset for me.  It seems like most of the products have done good in testing and the customer service seems to be outstanding.  There is a thread on the forms were everyone has positive things to say about Sub70.

  1. Handicap = 11.1; San Francisco
  2. Current Irons are Taylormade P790 and 8-iron distance is 163
  3. All I know about Sub70 is that they are supposedly taking a manufacturer direct model to provide consumers with brand name quality clubs at a lower price point. I've never seen any of their clubs in real life though and haven't read much about their quality. I like finding great value in gear though so I'd be excited to try them out!

  3. I don't know a ton about the brand other than some of the things I have read within the forum. Seems that their DTC strategy which allows them to keep prices down compared to the "big box" brands, is a great way to break in to the market, and it sounds like they not only have great products, but excellent customer service to back it up as well. Would love the opportunity to give these a try and review them. I have access to a launch monitor at my club and would love to check the numbers on these.

3. I know absolutely nothing about Sub 70. I think if anything though that this can be viewed as a positive, because of the fact that I would not be coming in with any previous bias but a neutral eye and attitude on the product.
