CLE/Akr Spies, August golf

Hey guys, so my work is having us use up vacation days before September 1, so I'm looking for some weekday rounds. I can do full days, half days (which for me are 10 am), and don't mind a drive. Does anyone have time during the week to play? Anyone interested?

 

I can always pick a day, course, and time and post it in this thread.

I'm not sure I can take any time off, but, I am off the 30th and 31st of this month. The 30th is out because I'm replacing the AC in my truck and it'll be an all day thing. I MAY be able to do the 31st if I have everything done and the AC vacuumed  and recharged.

On the 31st, would you be free in the morning, or is it more likely afternoon if you have stuff to wrap up with the car?

I have a fair amount of vacation left and since we won't really be doing much this year, have no problem burning half day or day here and there. I can usually do it on relatively short notice, so I might be able to, depending on what's going on at work.

Not sure yet what August holds for me. But I'm liking the northern Ohio Spies interaction!

At the meet up you said Sawmill is rough. Elyria has Forest Hills and Valley of the Eagles. And the 2 courses at Thunderbird.

Anything else in between Fairview & Catawba?

Sawmill front 9 was rough - they were making the improvements on the back. Given the choice between Thunderbird (north & south) and Sawmill, I'd probably pick Thunderbird (at least this year). Eagle Creek  (Norwalk) is great - more like a private course than public. I've heard good things about Valley of the Eagles - but haven't been there. Note  I have reciprocity with Plum Brook - but would have to be there when you wanted to play.  You're always welcome at CIC, except Thursdays - Ladies league in the morning and guys in the afternoon - so it's pretty busy (FYI - we're only an hour from the westside)

I've thought about that, as it's less than an hour from my house. Eagle Creek is awesome if you can get a time, they currently aren't posting public times online.

Just found out I can't do the 31st. My boss is already off that day. We can't both be out on the same day.

If it was Sunday, I'd be up for the drive...however, I have to start working on my in-laws front porch taking down the old railings and replacing them with new vinyl ones.
