Did you really stay in the one I own?  I'm trying to remember if I've ever shared which unit is mine.

Yes, a while back you and I talked about owning the condo then you sent me a screen shot of my name.  There is no better place to stay down there then Talamore! So, next round is on you!!!  hahaha

My all time favorite has to be the Pete Dye course in French Lick, Indiana. Challenging but absolutely stunning in the fall. The course is just immaculate. The French Lick resort has done a nice job with their courses (Donald Ross, Sultan's Run, etc.), but the Pete Dye is head and shoulders above anything I've ever played. Volcano Bunkers were a sight that just blew me away!

Here's a photo I snagged off the web. I hope to get up there again this fall and play!

I honestly do not recall the name of the course but it was in the Lake Tahoe area.  My Dad took me on a weekend trip and we played a couple of courses over a weekend.  I recall it having a couple of super high elevated tees and the grounds and views just gorgeous. Plus I got too drive the cart 🤗.  I was about 14 years old at the time and it was just one of those great memories I have with him golfing.

Could it have been Edgewood? I'm heading out to Tahoe in a few weeks and plan on playing there!

It's truly unbelievable. If I get up there this fall I plan on staying in the West Baden (once the largest man-made dome in the world) and trying to play more than one round. Hopefully that will let me snag some sunrise and sunset pics with the leaves changing. I'll be sure to post them here.

I’ve played Whistling, prefer Black Wolf run -

TPC Sawgrass
Black Wolf Run Championship course
World Woods Pine Barrens

Pine Barrens is actually affordable - under $100 even for someone from out of state in season. I doubt I’ve ever paid $50.

Taylor Made Stealth 2 10.5 Diamana S plus 60  Aldila  R flex   - 42.25 inches

SMT 4 wood bassara R flex, four wood head, 3 wood shaft

Ping G410 7, 9 wood  Alta 65 R flex

Srixon ZX5 MK II  5-GW - UST recoil Dart 65 R flex

India 52,56 (60 pending)  UST recoil 75's R flex

Evon roll ER 5 32 inches

It's our offseason so auditioning candidates - looking for that right mix of low spin long, more spin around the greens - TBD

Well, I’ve got a new course, not better than the Pete Dye Course at French Lick I mentioned earlier, but close: Edgewood at Lake Tahoe.

https://edgewoodtahoe.com/golf/

I just played last weekend and it was great! The altitude helps ball flight, the course was in immaculate shape, and the views were spectacular!

It wasn’t overly challenging, open enough to forgive a miss now and then, but the bunker and tree placement made some holes tricky and interesting. One thing I hadn't seen before was on a blind tee box they had a TV showing the hole up ahead so you could see the group in front of you clear out of the way. That was very cool.

The photos don't do it justice, I was too busy playing to capture as many as I should have but the finish from 15-18 all leads into or alongside beautiful Lake Tahoe. On 16, I hit near the edge of the course and I just had to slip my shoes off and dip my toes in the water that ran along the side of the the hole as I walked to my ball.

TPC San Antonio was a pretty cool course that comes to mine.

I also really liked Links of Lawsonia in Green Lake, WI. Cool course

Beverly Country Club in Chicago is also a super nice private club, it's where all the blackhawks, bears, and other high profile clients play.

I don't have a favorite course I have played.

As I think about it, the people I played with are more of the memory than the course.

Someday I may have a chance to play a memorable course.

Golf is simple - people are complicated.

5w Taylormade SLDR S 19* - 220yd, Ping G2 5-U - 190-105, Maltby M+ 54* & MG 60* - 95-75, Evnroll ER8, Titleist 816 H1 4h 21*, Maltby 4 Hybrid Iron 24* - 210-200, Callaway XR16 8* - 235 carry
