Popular Post ballplayer002003
My stash of Bridgestone Tour BXS balls has been dwindling so I decided it was time to purchase more balls. For the past few seasons, I have bought balls from Golfballs.com and have been very pleased with both the pricing and printing that they do. I have noticed in recent forums that a lot of people liked the Srixon Z star ball so I decided to give them a shot, plus they had a buy 2 get 1 free with free printing. After going back and forth, I decided on the Srixon Z star XV, placed the order and got the shipment within about five days...and that included the printing. I usually get my old baseball number(00) and a thick arrow. This order I decided to do the baseball number and a small arrow <--00--> as I knew they already have a decent alignment line put on by Srixon. In my researching the Z Stars, I noticed how they have spin skin so I wanted to feel it and look at the new print job. I pulled the first ball out and noticed a blemish with the printing. This is not the quality print job that I have become accustomed to with Golfballs.com, so I checked a few more. I noticed a few more balls with lower quality printing (lines are crooked or gone over a few times and the ink bled). I am now checking all three dozen balls. As I am doing this I notice that I can see seem lines on about eight balls and a few others having what looked like pitting issues, I have never seen this before on any ball that I have ever played. My excitement to try these new golf balls quickly turned into buyers remorse. Why did I switch, I like the BXS. I decided to reach out to both Srixon and Golfballs.com. I first emailed Srixon. I heard back from them within two business days. They asked for pictures so they could inspect my claim of pitting and seam issues. I happily obliged, I sent them two or three pictures of a few of the balls and we sent a few emails back and forth. Long story short, Srixon apologized and said they would send out replacement balls and that they would want the blemished balls back to further inspect them. Srixon told me that the visible seam is no issue as this is due to having the thinnest cover in golf. They assured me that this would not affect performance and for me to keep them. Golfballs.com is basically the same situation, however when I sent them pictures I did not hear anything back from them. I checked my email for a few days but nothing. Fast forward to today. I open my front door to go outside and look down and there is a package from Srixon. I open it up and there is 2 dozen brand new Z Stars XV balls. They got here fast and I was very pleased at how they handled this situation. Honestly, I did not expect anyone to even respond to my initial dissatisfied email. About an hour went by and my dogs started barking as if someone was at my door. I got up to look and sure enough ANOTHER package. This one was from Golfballs.com. This shocked me to say the least, simply because I had not heard from them. I opened this package and BOOM, 3 dozen balls WITH the baseball number and arrows. These looked clean and crisp. I have to say, both companies have done right by me. There were quality control issues that both companies did their best to rectify. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you how pleased I am with Golfballs.com and with Srixon. I will continue to buy my golf balls from Golfballs.com and in the two rounds I have used the Srixon I have to say it is a GREAT feeling ball. It does everything I want it to do while giving me a soft feel off the putter. They have hit a homerun with the Z Star XV. After I sent them the pictures the feeling changed. I have never tried to get anything for free, I just want what I work hard to pay for to be of the quality I have come to expect with buying premium balls. Needless to say, I could not be happier with both Golfballs.com and Srixon. I work at a golf course in the summer and can get a lot of equipment at cost (balls included), however I will continue to buy from Golfballs.com and will recommend them to anyone. I will do the same with Srixon. In my email to Srixon I stated that I am looking for a ball to game and that I currently use the Bridgestone BXS, after this, I really believe I may have found a winner. I am loving how the ball feels and plays and now I know the customer service is on point as well. To be fair to Bridgestone, I never had an issue with any of their balls to begin with. With so much competition with everything, it will be customer service that keeps me as a customer, not the product, especially in the golf world.
