BMart519
I'm very interested to see how this progresses and would be all over it if I wasn't on vacation while in between houses for the month of August. Would really like to see if there are any drops in scoring that happen or unintended consequences of swinging with no ball or feedback. xOldBenKenobiX 1 Quote G425 MAX Driver & 5W Baffler Rail-H 3H-4H 699 Pro Utility V2 - 4i APEX CF19 6-AW INDI Wedges 52, 56, 60 EAS 2.

EEZurg
If there is something wrong with your swing....repeating it 100 times a day will only make it harder to fix. Without seeing the results of ball flight, they may be the worst swings you would fix immediately on the course. Hard pass for me. Practice swings may be exercise, but without knowing that you're doing things the way you want to do them, it seems like it could be counterproductive. You'd be better off with 30 or 40 practice shots, with feedback of some kind (launch monitor, video, ball flight). You might be better off with 15 or 20 minutes of no-ball slow-motion drills in front of a mirror, rehearsing specific changes, combined with occasional live practice on a range. I don't like the idea of practice swings as a swing improvement method. xOldBenKenobiX 1 Quote Irons Titleist T200, AMT Red stiff Rogue SubZero, GD YS-Six X T22 54 and 58 wedges 7-wood 5-wood B60 G5i putter Right handed Reston, Virginia
HardcoreLooper
It'll be interesting to see how it goes. toehold57
I thought this would be referring to *hitting* 100 shots a day. That would make a big difference. 100 swings only sounds like a good way to ingrain bad swings. I agree with those above.

Overall during this experiment I played the best golf I have played in a long time. I had a great ball strike, my scores for the month of august I realize that the scores don't tell the whole story, I felt that I hit the normal full swing shots way better than before, I also felt that I started getting more confident specially with the wedges. What worked: I got much more flexibility, I felt that I gain yardage specially off the tee. My shot path and plain felt much more consistent. Things that didn't change: I was not able to pull off shots that I did had on me from before. It did not help me make better shot decisions, I still made pretty bad mistakes, I should have broken 80 on the later rounds, but I choose to "go for it" and failed miserably with shots I had no business trying. My putting felt a little more sloppy than before. I think the next part of this experiment is to get my self a home simulator, where I can get instant feedback on a controlled environment and I am able to try different shots. I still found great value of this experiment. cnosil, HardcoreLooper, Shapotomous and 2 others 5 Quote My Reviews: 2023 Official review - Rapsodo MLM2Pro! 2022 Official Review - Edel SMS Wedges 2021 Official Review - Tommy Armour Impact 3 Putter 2020 Official Member Review - BagBoy Chiller Cart Bag Cobra SpeedZone Xtreme - Unofficial Review by xOldBenKenobiX Honma TR21 4 Wood - Unofficial Review by xOldBenKenobiX Driver - Cobra SpeedZone Xtreme 10.5, UST helium 5 Wood - . Shapotomous
Great experiment and good to see positive results for you!! I did something similar over the winter with the momentus weighted club to get more flexibility. I can't really call it swings though because i was doing very slow exaggerated swings to increase my range of motion and it helped a lot. In both irons and driver I am back to the distance I had about 5 years ago. I can't get out to play a lot right now so I try to hit 25 shots into the net each day with a 5, 8, &/or W to give some ball striking feedback. It has helped a lot with the dispersion of my irons when I do get out. I am still taking some swings daily, not as structured and as many as in august, I am very interested on keeping it flexible specially when it gets cold here in Michigan. My ultimate goal it to have an in home simulator that I can hit balls in a daily manner, the only two things keeping me away from that right now, are price and space. It's easy to skip a day when things come up and just say I'll get back to it tomorrow. Well done! I use the Skilz Gold Flex prior to each round I play after stretching and before any other warm up swings. However, I only make 10 swings RH, then 10 swings LH. I think my LH swings are actually better than my dominant RH swings, at least they feel better to me. I had a swing coach once that told me that swinging heavy clubs was not good for your swing. His reasoning was that the heavy clubs alter your positions and swing path for a normal swing. It sounded good at the time, but I feel like the benefits of range of motion outweigh any change in my swing. Maybe if I had a very repeatable swing like pros, it might be true. LOL.
