Be careful - that listing also shows "other sellers" who are marking it up above what Caddytek sells them for. But it seems like Caddytek is selling them at their regular $180-ish price. Good on them for not price gouging (though I know this cart has been available in the past from Costco for less, I think this is still a fair price for an excellent cart.) 17 minutes ago, Tsmithjr9 said: I've heard lots of good things about Clicgear over the years, but I am liking the Caddytek line. Tsmithjr9 1,703
I also need to consider size as I don't have a SUV or truck. Do most of the Caddytek or Clicgear fold up pretty small?Take Dead Aim
TeeBrain 32
I've never used a swivel wheel cart, so I can't comment on whether I would like it better or not. But I will say maneuverability has never been something I've ever even thought of with a cart. They always go where I push them without any sort of thought involved, so I guess that's good enough. The Caddytek 3 I bought fits in a space 16.3"x14.4"x28.15". That's pretty small. The space I need to fit it into is the "front trunk" of a small sports car - i.e. the trunk that is located where the engine is in most cars. This is an exceedingly small space compared to anything any other regular sedan/coupe/hatch will have. But the Caddytek fits in there perfectly, but just barely. If I had to guess, I would imagine they designed it explicitly to fit into these front trunks. One more note about the swivel version: it's a little over an inch longer at 29.3" when folded and that would definitely NOT fit into the trunk space of my car. I have barely 1/8" clearance as it is with the cart I have.

edingc 7,211
I have the same model as @B.Boston and did an unofficial review last year right after I bought it: Fits in the trunk of my Chevy Cavalier along with a full golf bag, two pairs of golf shoes, tripod and my tube of practice balls. After basically two years and now almost 100 rounds and probably 250-300+ miles, it has held up really well. I have a loose thread on the cooler zipper that I need to cut off, but no other "issues" to speak of. The cooler does an adequate job of keeping beverages cold for about three hours. 2 Quote Unofficial WHS Handicap: 9.7 (Last Updated Nov. 27, 2020) Driver: Cobra SpeedZone Xtreme (10.5°, Draw), 44.5", Aldila Rogue Silver 60 (110 MSI) Stiff 17° Hybrid: Callaway Super Hybrid, 41.5", Mitsubishi Tensei CK Pro Orange 80 Hybrid Stiff 21° Hybrid: Callaway Epic Flash, Mitsubishi Tensei AV Silver Hybrid Stiff 5-7: Cobra SpeedZone, 2° Flat, 37" 7 Iron, KBS C-Taper Lite 115 X-Stiff 7-GW: Maltby PTM Chrome, 1° Flat, 37" 7 Iron, KBS C-Taper Lite 110 Stiff 54°, 58°: Cobra KING MIM Black, 3° Flat, -1/2" (54°), -1/4" (58°), KBS C-Taper Lite 115 X-Stiff Putter: L.A.B. The new version 4.0 has some nice improvement. Allot of my playing partners have Clicgear, the only issue they have is the umbrella holder. It is fixed and had a rubber o ring that hold it in and several have had issues. Other than that they are really easy to push and once you get the folding down pat they are quick to setup. The other benefit is they have a lever for the brake which is quick and needed on a hilly course. 2 Quote Callaway Epic Flash 9 Degree Callaway Big Bertha Fusion 3 wood 15 Degree Callaway Epic Hybrid 18 Degree Callaway Steelhead Pro 4-AW Irons Cleveland 54 Degree Wedge Steel Shaft Recoil Graphite Shafts in all Callaway Clubs Callaway Big Bertha Putter - for when it is wet La Jolla Putter with Flat Car Grip. HardcoreLooper 5,098
I carried double all through high school and summers home from college. I carried my bag until I was about your age and wrecked my back. Don't wait until you wreck yours. I've actually changed from regular pushcarts over the last 15 years (Clicgear 3.5 most recently) to a swivel-wheel Rovic RV1S with the first-generation Alphard eWheels. As great as a push cart is, a motorized cart is that much better. Playing golf is a breeze now. Tsmithjr9 1,703
And I just ordered the 4-wheel Caddytek though Costco. By far the best price for a quality cart. Even after riding 18 this morning my shoulder is on fire, but I think that's overexertion, and necessarily caused by golf. Either way I wouldn't want to carry a bag now. So any way, can someone point me in the direction of best push carts? Take Dead Aim Bottom line: You are a Dad now and that means doing whatever it takes to be the best Dad there ever was for your family, spouse and kids. Sounds like your focus is already there and right so your obstacle is getting over the bump of caring what others might think. I used the MGS push cart test from a couple years ago before deciding on my Clicgear 3.5+ and decided the extra cost of the high value cart would pay dividends as it lasts many more years than something of a lesser build. Was a toss-up with the Sun Mountain Speed Cart so you do have a choice from my point of view. If you want lots of extra features offered by the company then Clicgear has the edge. The 3.5+ was just replaced by the 4.0 with improvements to the top bracket that holds the golf bag and the securing straps. Used my Clicgear for over 100 rounds of golf and with all the unfolding and folding, loading and gentle/rough use it gets on course (I'm gentle but the course does what it does) it does not show any wear. The 11" wheels are as forgiving in deep rough as they are on gravel and roll easily on fairways and short rough with very little effort. Maintenance has been wipe-down of dust and brushing off grass and dirt from wheels when conditions are wet. Tendency is when considering to take something or leave it out of the bag to put it in the bag as even the steepest hills are not a problem with the push ahead effort. Moving to a push cart is only going to improve life, best part is deciding which one is best for you.
