Interested in hearing people's experiences with the system I have a pair of Pumas with the BOA system that I bought a couple years ago. I really like the BOA system - very even pressure and easy to adjust on the move. Stuka44
I did not like them. Went to the store and tried a pair on. Did not like the feel of the thin wire tightening. Bought the Adidas Tour 360 lace up instead. Never owned a pair or wore them around, just didn't like the feel from the start. Interested in hearing people's experiences with the system I think it depends on your preference for how your shoe fits. If you like to have variable lace tightness through the foot (e.g. loose in the forefoot, tight up around the ankle) then they won't feel great, but if you like even pressure through the entire shoe then they will likely feel fine (although it might take a little while to get used). I've had friends have the BOA system blow up on other footwear, but that was in high-impact sports (including snowsports). I wouldn't be too concerned about that in golf (although if you're the kind to just toss your shoes into the truck and throw other stuff on top of them then that might be an issue). From what I understand the BOA system is more durable than it used to be, but it's still a piece of rotating plastic that isn't designed to take impacts. downlowkey 1 Quote Driver - Radspeed XB, Aldila Rogue Silver 70-S 3 Wood - Radspeed, Aldila Rogue Silver 70-S 5 Wood - Radspeed, Fujikura Motore X F3 6-S 7 Wood - 0341x Gen 4, Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw Blue 75-S Irons - Pro 225 4-5, 223 6-PW, KBS $-Taper 120 Wedges - King Cobra Snakebite 52° & 58°, KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 S Putter - Stroke Lab Black Ten 35" Ball - Chrome Soft X LS Powered by 2020 ExPutt Official Review | 2021 Cobra Connect Five Participant | 2023 SuperSpeed Official Review

hckymeyer
I switched to BOA a few years ago and won't buy anything without it. The one exception being the USA edition of the CodeChaos that came out this year. Love that shoe but BOA wasn't an option for that edition. SlowNLow
Have had (2) pairs of Footjoy DryJoys with BOA, with messed lower back and hip replacements tying a shoe has become an adventure. BOAs are great for me. Once a while I have to re-tighten after swinging, yep, out of my shoes, but overall they are great. Like Mr. Hckymeyer I won't buy shoes with laces anymore. thatjasonlee
I always thought the BOA system was gimmicky until I tried it. It is comfy, easy to use, and quick. You may need to retighten during the round, but it's not difficult to do. The tongue does slip to the side, but that happens with me for all my shoes. Overall, I went from someone who didn't think too much of them, to someone who will be looking for that system in my next shoe. Hope that helps.
