Haggerty
Hey all, thought i would shoot this out there but I kept getting random ads on social media about this CLEAR golf and there balls, I went and looked at the site and the golfs balls were $68USD a dozen. That would be crazy price for any golf ball let alone something newer to market. What is everyones thoughts on this? I personally think its crazy that a dozen balls $20 more pro-V's Quote Driver: Callaway Epic MAX LS (10.5º played as 9.5) 3W: Cobra SZ tour (14º) 3-PW: Mizuno MP-20 HMB 52,56: Cobra MIM 63 - Wilson Staff Model HT Putter: EvnRoll ER-6 Ball: Pro V1 Arccos Tracking on all clubs
KurtActual
I'd certainly like to know more. Schwartzel plays their ball. https://golf.com/gear/golf-balls/charl-schwartzel-clear-sports-ball-deal/ Haggerty 1 Quote Tiger is the GOAT, change my mind. jayjay0808
I think they should put out a trial pack for purchase, or like a testing sleeve to start to break into the market. I think I saw online that the ball that Schwartzel is playing is still a prototype at this time. As well they referenced that Justin Rose is testing it. Yorkie leader
I read a article in Golfworld about ED Brown the CEO who created the Patron brand and is now the Clear CEO. Most of the article centered on pushing price points upward and how to market super premium products. I am more interested in the engineering vs the prestige. There are a lot of quality products available and I see no reason to pay more for the Clear ball when there are likely cheaper and possibly better alternatives. HOBMAN
Definitely would never play a ball that is anywhere close to that price, plus Schawrtzel hasn't won a tournament in over 4 years. He's playing it for the sponsorship money not because it's a "magic" golf ball. They will go in the woods or water just as easy as any, but you will definitely regret it more. GBWarPig
Would love to see a Ball Lab test on them, or even put against others in a Most Wanted where the raw data can be compared to others in terms of average carry, spin rates, etc. Quote Driver: Mavrik Sub Zero,10°, Aldila Rogue Silver 70X 3W: Mavrik Sub Zero, 15°, Aldila Rogue Silver 70X 3H: Mavrik Sub Zero, 18°, KBS Tour Hybrid 75S 4i-PW: Mavrik Pro, +1°, True Temper Elevate Tour S, Standard Lie Wedges: SM8 - 50°/12F, 54°/14F, 58°/14K Putter: Special Select Squareback 2, 35" Ball: MTB-X

jayjay0808
So I was intrigued and took the dive... ordered 3 dozen to get free shipping. I will let you know how they are. But so far the customer service was impeccable, and they shipped the order out the next day. jayjay0808
So I got out and played 18 holes and rotated between the Clear CS and Bridgestone Tour Bx. Off the driver I have to say the Clear CS explodes off the face, it does feel firmer off the driver. I struggle with a lot of spin with the irons and that firmer Clear ball did not spin as much with the irons giving me a little more distance. Around the greens I have played the Tour Bx for a while now and yes it did seem to get a bit more spin on the shorter shots. However given some more time I can get used to the CS releasing. I hope to do a more in depth review over the next few weeks.
