Popular Post PMookie
I went back home this weekend for my niece’s wedding, and I played two rounds with a few childhood friends. One drove over from Chicago, and the other from Grand Rapids. It was really cool that they went out of their way that much just to meet me while I was 15+ hours closer to them! We played Washtenaw Golf Friday afternoon. This was originally the Country Club in my hometown, and it was opened in 1899. I spent my college summers working there, so it always holds a special place in my heart. The course isn’t very long, but the small greens, with very subtle undulations, are really challenging. I didn’t play well at all, but it was great to see the “old girl” again! https://www.washtenawgolfclub.com We finished the weekend by playing at the Eagle Crest resort, home to Eastern Michigan University’s golf team. Opening in 1989, two years after HS, I had only ever played the front nine with my Dad many years ago, so this was the first time playing all 18. I played much better, and had a blast, but still didn’t score as well as I’d have liked to. If you’re ever in the Ann Arbor area, these two public courses are, HONESTLY, two of the nicest courses in SE Michigan. https://eaglecrestresort.com/golf/eagle-crest-golf-course/ The first 7 pics are WGC, and the next ones are Eagle Crest. The small building in the WGC pics was my summer work home! “Halfway House”! Ha! No wonder I’m “mental”!!! xOldBenKenobiX, SlowNLow, LeftyHawk and 7 others 9 1 Quote Driver: Ping G430 Max 9*, Ping Tour 70X Fairway: Ping G425 15*, Ping Tour 70X Hybrid: Ping G425 22*, Ping Tour 80X Irons: Ping i230 4-GW, TT DG X100 Wedges: SMS 50D/54V/58DModus 130 stiff, +1” Putter: EAS 1.0 Ball: Titleist 2023 AVX
