Testers Announced (4) PING Heppler Putter

Recommended Posts

Windsor Ontario canada

current putter: Nike method drone 2.0

model: Ketsch or tomcat 14.  I prefer straight and slight arc putters and am intrigued by the alignment on the ketch with the half shaft offset. The tomcat reminds me of my Itsy bitsy with some additional features dual track alignment plus square through hole that should help also.

Odyssey White Hot 2-Ball

Interested in trying the Tyne 3. My current putter is a center shafted and has been misbehaving as of recently, I have used my buddies TP Ardmore 2 in the past and could immediately tell the difference in the CG from the design. Just judging by looks the Tyne 3 has the TP beat

Currently I am playing with one of the original TaylorMade Monza Spiders.

Looking at the models offered I would choose the Tomcat 14 to test.

I think that would give me the chance to truly relate the feel of my current putter to the feel of the Ping putter. Both have very similar lines and therefore would be quick to switch too without a big learning curve. So my evaluation would be truer in regards to feel if I eliminated the results factor.

Thanks for the opportunity to test some new equipment.

Edel E-2 Torque Balanced

Tyne 3. I think the torque balanced over corrects the switch away from toe hang, and a Tyne 3 might be the happy place in the middle. The firmer feel probably also suits slowish UK greens better.

I play at: Bearwood Lakes Golf Club

Currently use a Scotty Cameron Newport 3

Usually like a strong arc type of putter but i am Interested in the Heppler Tomcat 14. Want to try the alignment aid as it appears to be something that might be very beneficial. I am also curious on the armlock as i have never tried that style of putting and i have been wanting to give it a try. You never know what might work until you try it...

I am brand agnostic. If it is in my bag it is because it works for me...

EVNROLL ER1.2 (370gr w/ Ping PP58 grip)

KETSCH would be my choice. Same head weight as mine but love the fact that the alignment lines seem to frame the ball really well and help with the starting line. High MOI can only be beneficial to every golfer in my opinion.

Tommy Armour Impact Series # 3 Counterbalance

Interested in TomCat 14

I gravitate towards putters that work well with a straight back and straight through stroke. The TomCat 14 seems to be a putter that would work well with this type of stroke and would not require much manipulation throughout the stroke.

Fetch

I’m crazy for Ping products. They have always sought out the best engineers and I really think the Fetch is a pretty little package. Frames the ball beautifully and sounds great in the shop. I would love to test it out on the course.

Hye-diddle-diddle, right in the middle,

Brad😃

Evnroll ER5

I would be interested in trying Floki.  I have used a Precise blade putter for over tens year and have brought the following putter in the past 3 months to find a better putting game.  Kirkland KS1, Odyssey Marxman and Evnroll ER5.  So far I found the mallet style to suit my eye and helps with my alignment.  I average 3 rounds per week on both public and private courses.

  • Mirza/Chicago Suburbs - Illinois/US
  • Oddesy OWorks #7 putter
  • Interested in the Tyne Stealth, I was fitted for this using the webfit program. It’s comforting to know that this was for me because my current putter is a very similar style putter. I would like to learn how much more this PING putter can improve my putting as the putter I have now is a couple years old. I’d like to see if the tech in this putter will help be a more confident putter in both long and short putts.

Woods: 3 wood Mavrik
Hybrid Mavrik 3 Hybrid
Irons: Mavrik Irons 5-GW
