Current Putter: Taylormade Ghost Spider

Ive been considering a change to a more traditional mallet head putter vs my current spider. The piper armlock intrigues me as it is the shape I’m looking for, but I wonder if it truly provides the forgiveness and consistency as advertised. They do look GREAT though!

Heppler Anser 2 - I always come back to a blade putter. I've tried all sorts of mallets for help with alignment, but they feel too bulky. The old Odyssey Versa line helped with alignment with the two-tone paint. The copper and black head should provide great contrast, without the stark white, to aid in alignment

I would love to try this putter.  Always looking for a way to improve my putting and if this putter has a firm or "clicky" feel, that is exactly (or should be) to my liking.

Thanks,

I am interested in the Piper C.  I am very intrigued to try a center-shafted putter as the zero offset seems to have fit my eye when toying around with them in a shop.  I also think it will force me to better hit the center of the face!

Current: YES! Natalie 44" shaft

I'd prefer the Ketsch. It's head shape is similar to my Natalie. I've been using mallets for 40 years.

Well really I'd be intrested in trying any of them as sometimes you just don't know what will work for you until you try it (spent 2 years side saddle putting).  Looking over their website if I had to pick I'd say Ketsch, Fetch, or Piper Armlock.  I've had issues with putts inside of 10 feet as of late.

  • Paul/Orange,CA/USA
  • Scotty Cameron Studio Style Newport 2
  • Anser 2.  My studio has an insert which gives it a soft feel, add the GSS used for it and it makes even softer.  With a stroke it tends to backspin before having a decent forward roll. Having a flat unmilled face, I wonder how soft the feel is and whether you get a good forward roll or a few feet of backspin before the forward roll. And whether I’ll end up being a more aggressive putter because of the solid feel.

Currently use ping myday

Love the idea of solid head and alignment cues my putter is from 80s but recently switched back because of all the great memories of putts I made with it originally bought for $25 ping has always made best putters bar none and priced fairly
