Bears vs Lions

... I know there are several long suffering Lions fans here so I imagine there is trepidation mixed with excitement for the season opener. That said, Trubisky has a career QB rating of 106 against the Lions, by far his best against any team. He won the starting job and all info coming out of camp is he looks like a different QB than last season. Just talk of course until he proves it in games. The Bears defense is healthy again so the Lions may run into a Mack-Hicks-Smith-Jackson buzz saw. But we really don't know what to expect from a Lions team with a new DC and when Stafford is on, there is nobody better and he always scares me as a Bears fan. I'm hoping for an exciting game with the Bears winning by answering many, many questions that all teams have right now.

It was a good comeback by the Bears,  but they still should have lost that game at the end.  It is just the first game,  but I really think they need to elevate their game.  The third down struggles are painful to watch.  One quarter per game wont result in many wins.

... Not having Quinn out there hurt as he was the only big off season acquisition and sorely needed to take doubles and triples away from Mack/Hicks. But I was happy with the running game and the 4th qt passing game. In a division with the Packers and Vikes you are so correct. It will take a lot more than one qt to win games. As a fan I just have to hope they were getting the cob webs out with a new OC, QB coach and Line Coach. As it stands now there is a lot to be exctied about and a lot to be concerned about and the NFC North should be a killer conference this year.

Thankfully down here in Louisiana I get to watch a good team, the Saints, each weekend! Hahaha! Only MNF and Thanksgiving for me to have my heart broken!

My former player, Barkevious Mingo, seems to have had a good day after looking at the box score. I called him last night and told him I hoped that he would have a great game, but have the Lions still win. Lions didn’t win, but he had four tackles, and a QB hit. I’m happy for him!!!

I have no words for the Lions.  I grew up in South Western Michigan in the 90’s... forced to be a fan, the only good thing they had was Barry Sanders. 
 

Just brutal being a fan of one of the worst teams out there.  No thanks.

They will do terrible again this year.

I knew it was coming. We always find a way to either not play for the first 3 quarters and force ourselves to need to come back in the 4th, then fall short. Or, choke like we did today. I've never been a fan of Stafford and his gross side arm trashcan form, can't wait till we get rid of him.

I have no ties to the state of Michigan, I just fell in love watching Barry Sanders run the ball as a kid, and picked them to be my team. I wasn't smart back then, and I'm still not apparently LOL.
