20200908_171005.jpg.7faecadad16e6dd207db0b363f793edf.jpgHere is a look at my current setup staring off with a Ping Hoofer Lite stand bag. This is by far the best bag I have ever carried and my favorite feature is the side pocket that where the rain hood is stored. Not only does it provide some extra back support when the rain hood isn't being used but when it is being used it is attached to the inside of the pocket so losing the rain hood itself is impossible.

Underneath the stylish Sweets  headcover decorated with ice cream, donuts, and other desserts is my Ping G410 Driver. I went from a Tensai Orange Stiff to a Hzrdus Smoke Yellow Stiff to help bring down my ball flight and I have been loving the change.I keep the weight in the Draw position most of the time but I always keep the 9 degree head in the Neutral position. I also went with the MCC Align standard grip and not the plus 4 as I prefer the smaller grip on my driver and fairway woods.

20200908_171343.jpg.47a332b9042a275fd9e0406979e1e54a.jpg

Both my fairway woods are the oldest clubs in my bag and they were hand me downs but I just can't seem to get rid of them because they are so dependable. I have a King Cobra Comp Hyper Steel 3 wood regular flex and a King Cobra Offset SZ Hyper Steel Lite Flex.20200908_171449.jpg.d4424009540cb1fa8b6d5ef2cbd98c25.jpg

The irons in my bag are the 2019 P790's 4-AW all are fitted with Nippon Modus 120 shafts stiff flex and are 1/2" longer then standard length. A few custom tweaks that I have done were switch my grips to the Pure DTX midsize in  white and I have also added a red and white paint fill to the irons as well.

20200908_173102.jpg.6778f2179443415b7dfcf67aa47f99ac.jpg20200908_173043.jpg.d709b1ac2fd5e001429033e96ed7332a.jpg

My 56 degree is a stock Vokey SM4 with 8 degrees of bounce. I took the time to give it a fresh look with a red white and blue paint. Its a little faded now and just needs some touch ups when I get the chance.

The 60 Degree is a MacGreagor VIP stock setup that I won in a golf outing. Both my wedges are entirely out of date and need to be updated and probably will be updated and rep[laced early next season.

Last but most certainly not least I use a Ping Scottsdale TR Senita B that was added to my bag in January of this year. It is a counter balanced mallet putter with a 41" shaft and 17" grip. I love the weight and feel of the counterbalancing that allows me to feel everything in my putting stoke. I also love the extra long putter shaft as it helps me stand up straighter and not so hunched over the ball when putting. This putter is fantastic and even placed 4th overall in the 2014 Most Wanted Mallet Putter list, I don't see this club leaving the bag anytime soon.20200908_171653.jpg.f7a960bb4399fb5c4e544046eab46164.jpg20200908_171731.jpg.d502185e962f7d385a5aac21874a9a62.jpg20200910_124055.jpg.db8c3067450f85e3a599e2f128f400ea.jpg20200910_124119.jpg.ef82f59ae8900dcbe8b6d992e66f00d4.jpg20200910_124108.jpg.9e7768f88639072607a09054725516a0.jpg

The driver headcover is one of my favorite purchases. Its not the best quality though since the stitching for the 1 is already loose but still for 20 bucks I have no complaints.

Here is a tip for fixing the thread coming loose.

Use a lighter or lit match and let the side of the flame graze the loose threads. They will lightly melt or burn off. Just keep the flame moving to avoid scorching. If it starts to get out of hand, just blow on it.

This works on silk ties, backpacks, and almost anything = quick and easy.

The paint fill on the P790s is a really nice touch! Need to get that putter regripped to something red and white and you’ll have that color scheme through your whole bag.

Very true however it is a bit tough to find a red and white putter grip that is 17in long. The grip is wearing a little bit so by the end of the season I plan on swapping it out for a Rosemak black and white 17in putter grip. This is my second putter grip from Winn/Ping and the durability is pretty poor so I want to get away from them completely. So I'm hoping that Rosemark will have much better durability then my current grip.

Oh, that's great! I learned that trick from my Marine friend. They did it in their uniforms, button threads, and ruck sacs.

I can imagine that they would need that trick a couple times there. Again it worked like a charm.

I dig your bag. My last putter was a (non-counterbalanced) Senita. I loved that putter until the Stroke Lab kicked it out of the bag, just barely.

Thanks I appreciate it, and my putter really is my favorite club in the bag. I love the look at address and with it being counterbalanced it really helps me feel my putting stroke from start to finish.

I've always been a fan of somewhat odd looking putters, so I find it visually appealing.

A little WITB update:

I'm currently going through the process of upgrading my 3 wood and right now I have the SIM Max 14° with Ventus Blue in the bag. The pro at my local range has been allowing me to do plenty of on course testing with it and I'm really starting to enjoy it. I am going to be testing it side by side with the plain SIM but have the Ventus black thrown in there as the shaft.

A little update on my current setup. My Cobra Hypercomp 3 wood has officially been replaced by a Taylormade SIM 3 wood with a Fujikura Ventus Black 7S shaft. The thing is an absolute beast and is going to be in my bag for many years to come.

My bag has gone through some major changes this past year and is getting a full makeover from my wedges to my driver. The only thing that is staying as a constant in my bag is my putter and even that couldn't escape without getting a brand new grip thrown on it. A lot of the changes are currently on order but once they arrive I will be sure to keep this thread updated as well as possibly do a little review on the replacement on a separate thread. Right now my bag and its changes are below.

Current Bag:

Srixon ZX7 irons are in and have a few rounds under their belt. They are absolute beasts and I look forward to hitting them regardless of the yardage. I started an unofficial review thread  below so for any questions feel free to ask them there.  More reviews for all of the other updates to my bag but for now the irons are below.
